Just spent a couple of days here with family. We had 3 rooms total. Rooms were all clean, comfortable and cute! Walking distance to EVERYTHING! I would definitely recommend staying here. Low cost rooms, with friendly owners and guests. FREE laundry and kayaks for the guests to use. Beach is right across the street. I felt like I was hanging out at a friends house, rather than being at a motel. If you want something fancy, go spend $200 a night else where, but if you want something clean, comfortable and convenient to EVERYTHING stay here!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

We stayed in Unit #1, a pink cabin right on Estero Blvd with one bedroom (King bed), one bath, and a living/dining/kitchen space. The furnishings all looked to be 20-30 years old, but it was clean, comfortable, and large.
The location, as others have noted, was ideal. We also walked to the beach and restaurants just across the street and about 3/4 miles down is Bowditch Point (the north end of the island...a natural space with Gopher Tortoise habitat and a much more secluded beach experience). Definitely check this place out.
The pool and patio area out back faced an attractive canal/lagoon. For me, what made the place great was the kayaks that you could use on an as available basis. I had two opportunities to get out and enjoy them. Bountiful birds and dolphins jumping right at my side made these trips experiences to remember.
The units were non-smoking but there were folks smoking just outside the units and in the patio area...something to consider if you are smoke intolerant.
There was no breakfast included but there is a 7-eleven next door, a McDonalds about 3 blocks south, and two grocery stores (Topps/Publix) a couple miles south.
All in all, it was a great place to stay and we were very happy with our choice. Just understand, the units are not updated and if you are accustomed to new and/or high-end furnishings and appliances, this place would not be a good fit.

Walk everywhere! Not fancy, but very comfortable and convenient. Owners are very nice and available. We would definitely stay there again. Our cottage had a great little deck right on the street that was great for sitting, relaxing and watching the people go by!

Yes, this place is older and it is a motel, not a hotel but the location was perfect and the owner was great. We had our own patio and kitchen which were both nice to have. Beach is literally across the street and you are one block from bars and restaurants.

The location is fantastic! Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The motel itself was not the best I've ever stayed in (maybe the worst). I hate to give it a poor rating but the next rating up is average, which it is not. The place is very worn down. It needs some exterior and interior renovations. I was afraid to shut the lights off at night because I thought all the bugs would come out. I did search the place a few times and did not see a single bug, thankfully. It's just really run down. The vinyl mini blinds were broke, the dust was pretty thick, the furnishings were outdated. The bathroom walls looked like wallpaper had been stripped off and nothing else had been done. So it was dusty, outdated, and in need of some up keep but again a great location. I will say it's not a terrible or even poor place but it is certainly below average. If you're looking for a good price, good location and less concerned w/ luxury it's worth a try.

We stayed 3 nights at the Holiday Court in early February. We were in a 2 bedroom cottage, which was cosy and charming, although obviously old. We enjoy having a lot of space, so it was a good value for that. The bedrooms were small, but there was a full living room with eating area and a decently supplied kitchen.
The hotel is located right in the heart of Fort Myers Beach, across from Times Square. It was easy to just park the car and walk to everything. It backs up to the river and there are kayaks available for guests to use, which is a nice perk. The beach is a short block away.
The location has the potential to be noisy, but we found that everything quieted down by 11 or even earlier, so it wasn't a problem. We would happily return to the Holiday Court on our next trip to Fort Myers Beach.
