Well, I have to say, the FOODIE in me has had such a WONDERFUL experience.....at a restaurant we have often passed by for the last 5 years, but decided to try before we left FMB this coming weekend. WOW WOW WOW......my mouth is dancing and the staff is fantastic and the quaint bar area is so inviting.....thanks to he bartender Kathy and those we met......we will definitely visit the FISH MONGER on San Carlos way more next year!!!! I had a Linguine with Pine Island Clams in a white wine and garlic sauce....sooo good. My husband had one of the specials of the day, a Tile Fish topped with an Italian sauce and served with garlic mashed potatoes....also so tasty. We both had a Ceasar Salad, very fresh and crispy and mine served with anchovies (whole anchovies I might add) an excellent salad and Oh, the bread is made in house.....soft and elegant on the inside and crispy on the outside....went so well to dip into the sauce of my linguine....uuuummmhhh, can't wait to go back; however, it will have to be next year. Happy hour is in the bar only but you can have your drinks first and carry one with you to the table....great plan. Our meals, without drinks was $42.......this is a must do restaurant that looks like no big deal from the outside but is a must to walk into......the moment you do, you will be greeted by such friendly staff and the evening is set to be a great one. Job well done Fish Monger, FMB.

While this restaurant doesn't look like much from the road, it is one of the only places on Fort Myers Beach that actually owns its own docks - so you know your seafood is going to be very fresh - and it is very delicious. Prices are moderate, and happy hour is excellent! Definitely a must if you are in Fort Myers Beach and want to enjoy some truly fresh seafood.

Real fresh fish because they unload fish from the boats (youtube video) and whatever is in the little boat at the entrance is catch of the day. No deep fried fish or beer batter fish so Yanquis may be disapointed and not very spicy but the sauces are great. I never want sauce on any FRESH fish (lemon either) but on the side lets you see what is missing.

Sides are very good. Salads are good. Deserts are fantastic. If this place was on the water, forget about it! Tiny Bar? Fish Tanks are great for keeping kids quiet!

It was not much to look at on the outside but the fish was so fresh and good and the homemade peanut butter brownie pie was great. We got an appetizer, steamed clams in a butter garlic sauce and we were dipping our homemade bread in it. So good.
