“Bonita Bill's great for scenery, fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

We go regularly to Bonita Bill's in Feb and Mar for the karaoke and great location. We often see pelicans, dolphins and other waterfowl from the dock. Sit inside or outside and enjoy the locals and boaters who pull in at the dock and stay for the cheap drinks. Food is at your own risk, nuff said. Good energy in this place!. Dancers get on the floor during karaoke. Bigger than it looks, too.

“Good spot but often too busy for the staff!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

It was a week day at lunch time, actually rolled in at about 1pm, the place was pretty crowded, left over lunch crowd. There was one gal working the whole bar area,,,, totally over worked. Took a while to get attention and place an order. She was working her you know what off.
Finally placed our order and got refreshments. Nicely enough met some folks and had good conversations. The place draws folks from all over the country.

On the good side; great location overlooking the back bay.

On the bad side; they need to examine there employee structure and have more help.

Finally got our order. Upon eating one of the apps. the chicken wings, were still pink on the inside YO that's a flag !! After bringing that to attention and returning it was taken off the bill.

Not to say "don't go there" ,,,,, GO with due diligence and be aware.

“Expected more”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012 via mobile

We went on a late afternoon for drinks and apps. $4.25 for a glass of cheap wine...pricey happy hour price. We also had the steamed shrimp. One pound of yummy, but I was disappointed that they are served room temp...not hot. Pricey at $15. Friendly wait staff and customers at the bar made for a pleasant visit. This place is so pumped up as a need to go to place...perhaps that is why I expected more. Fun place but really have no desire to return.

“Very laid back waterfront watering hole.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

I visited Bonita Bills during the early summer "off season" and liked the old Florida feel of the place. It is tucked away under the bridge by Doc Fords- which is must larger, more expensive and shares the same bay view but on a smaller deck. I didnt order any food so I cant comment but I did leave a $2 tip for my ice cold beer and the bartender rang the bell. That made me smile - I havent seen that since I was tending bar years ago and I appreciate how hard they work for their money.

“Great experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

After hearing about Bonita Bills from a number of people, we took the plunge...not sure what to expect! It was great..we went Ina weekday so there wasn't a huge crowd...which we enjoyed. Just had a drink and listened to the DJ and a little karaoke. We didnt have food...based on reviews we read here. Just a nice, fun place to go. We have a couple more weeks of vacation left ; I'm sure we'll go back!
