“Surprisingly good with excellent service.........”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

We ate a late lunch at Smokin Oyster Brewery on the 4th of July. We LOVED the hog wings - a new experience for us - they were delicious - the pork was tender, juicy and it was flavored with a rub that was a bit spicy but almost tangy at the same time. The grouper bites were lightly fried, not at all greasy and tasty; and the mussels in a light tomato sauce were great. Paul, our server, was attentive and so nice. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

“This Place Was Jammin'!”
Reviewed July 5, 2014 via mobile

This place was always packed. It was hard to get a table unless you get there as soon as they open. For dinner...it's crazier! They have a performer to entertain you while you dine or just came for a cocktails. We came for a snack, and got lucky to find a seat in the corner outside deck. I got a steamed clams. It was good because I love steamed clams! Service was good too & the music was very entertaining.

“Enjoyable”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

In the evening we had fast & friendly service. We were seated almost immediately. My son loved the chicken nuggets. I enjoyed my BBQ chicken sandwich and my sister loved her shrimp. There was plenty of food and the servers did not try to rush us out of the restaurant when we were done. It was a nice laid-back atmosphere.

“Good food!”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

The SOB Restaurant is very good, and some of the best oysters and other fresh sea food can be found at this (covered) outdoor, casual bar and restaurant. When we arrived we were told it was Happy Hour, which was great for the beer drinkers in our group. However, when the bill came, we were told we were 10 seconds too late for the Happy Hour price. The bill had been placed 10 seconds before Happy Hour began. While we loved the coconut shrimp, oysters, and conch chowder, but this was treatment that had us leave disgruntled and feeling like we had been taken. The bartender simply shrugged it off, and we looked for better places for the rest of the month that we were in Fort Myers Beach. The Beached Whale and Fresh Catch Bistro were both excellent, and the service matched! What a shame for the owners of SOB!

“Good food - shrimp, crab and burgers!”
Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

We stopped here today while visiting Fort Myers Beach. Looks like a beach bar, and is as friendly and welcoming as one!
Between us we had the (to peel) shrimp, the mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat and the home made cheeseburger. Oh yes and cold beer!
All very good and tasty - my daughter also went for the awesome onion rings as well!
Service was timely and friendly. Would happily eat there again.
