Wonderfull family friendly hotel in Fort Myers where my family enjoyed a most relaxing stay in 9 days. A small pearl on the west coast of Florida, where you have direct access to one of the worlds best beaches. Will be coming back to this place.

Stayed one night here with mixed feelings. It is a motel style property but more akin to a British Holiday Camp in layout and facilities. Check-in was friendly and efficient and parking was free on site. Our room was on the second floor facing North so it was rather dim and sunless and the furnishings were basic but functional. However the hotel location is fine - right beside the beach with a nice pool and tiki bar. The restaurant was OK for breakfast and Charlie's across the road provided an excellent dinner. The beach was fine for walking although we missed the warning sign for stingrays whilst wading until we returned without incident. Thankfully we did not attempt to swim but the water was not deep enough on the gently sloping beach. We did encounter some problems. Some of the patrons at the tiki bar were noisy and foul-mouthed so we left before closing time at 10.00pm. We did not establish if the miscreants were guests or neighbours but they were not chided by the rather surly bartender. Worse was to follow when we returned to our room to find a party going on on the balcony beside our room and in the room next door. At one o'clock in the morning I had had enough and rang security at reception to complain. In fairness they responded and the noise subsided quickly. Perhaps an isolated incident as the facility appeared to be well run. A wonderful location for families but not for a couple in their sixties. We will not return.

We did not have reservations & we pulled in here and they had 1 room left. Very impressed with the Customer Service Staff. Very informative & will tell you all you need to know. We stayed 2 nights. The beach was close. Beach rentals right there. (reserve early). Tiki Bar with music. We ate the Grouper in the restrauant that evening and was one of the best Grouper I've had. Next morning an Omelette. You can basically come here by Taxi and all your needs are met! Housekeeping Staff was very polite, happy & nice!

Room Tip: Stay in the adult side pool area!

Thanks Outrigger for a wonderful mother daughter get away. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The location was perfect, on the beach with a great restaurant across the street (Charlie's). Also across the street is a seven eleven and the trolley stop. I hope to make this a new tradition.

This our second spring break trip to the Outrigger Beach Resort. We love the Outrigger because it offers a little peace of paradise for each person in our family. We parents LOVE the Tiki Bar - good drinks, close to the pool and closes at 10 pm so it does not keep us awake at night. Our kids LOVE the pool which was heated and the palm trees shaded the shallow end just at the perfect time, around 3 pm. There was always an available lounge chair and we used the tables to eat our lunch. If we felt we had too much sun, we took our books and sat under a tiki hut on the deck for a break from the sun. We also enjoyed the beach, making sand castles, searching for sea shells and watching the dolphins swim past. The last day was windy and caused some waves, otherwise the gulf was pretty calm. We can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: We stayed in a poolside efficiency on the second floor, and although small, was perfect for us. We...

Came to this resort 3 years ago for a weddings in Naples. Came back for same reason this time and decided to stay at this resort again even though the wedding was in Naples. We were happy to see that the rooms were upgraded and also had fresh flowers on our table.
Next trip here we will have a kitchenette with a king bed.
Every thing we needed was right on site!
Love the awesome beach...walked it early in the morning to beat the heat and later in the day, we would sit out in the beautiful sun.
Publix down the street has your grocery need covered. Also, they have great fried chicken......

Room Tip: I will choose a kitchenette so I don't have to eat out so much..... Also, when we come back for...

The location is the best. The beach is not over crowded. Had a discount cabana rental so we used it 2 days. You also get a free soda. beer, or glass of wine at the Tiki bar. Drinks are not watered down. Bar does close at 10:00 so things get quiet at night. Live music almost every night. The sunset is beautiful! The Deckside Café is not to bad. you can call for room service, eat inside or order & they will deliver to you on the deck. The deck is large and has a lot of seating. The pool is heated. We were to stay in a 'garden efficiency'. 3 weeks before arrival we received an email stating we were getting a king efficiency beach front. Nice surprise, we didn't need to pay for the upgrade. We did have 2 issues with our room. One, the water pressure in the shower was terribly low. Two, we had an issue with small ants in the kitchen at the stove & in the bathroom. We notified our great cleaning person, Rita. She had someone come in right away and sprayed. No more ants on stove, only 2-3 in bathroom over the rest of our stay. Check in time is at 4:00. No one seems to be able to check in early. The staff were very nice. I want to go back again and stay longer.

Room Tip: Beach front walk out efficiency rooms are the best. Large rooms with kitchen and great view of the o...
