Seaside An All-Suite Resort
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed June 11, 2009

We've been going to Seaside Resort for nine years. We started started staying for one week and for the past five years have stayed for two weeks. Seaside offers well-stocked kitchens, clean condos, sun and fun, and a grocery store across the street.

I had such a nice visit at the seaside resort that I had to make a comment. I went with a group: my husband, my son (who was 6 months old at the time) and my very good friends (a married couple). We stayed in a suite with 2br (2 queen size) /2ba. It was very nice, comfortable and cozy.
The staff at the resort made it very easy for us, we had a late check in (did not arrive until 11pm) and a late check out (left around 2 or 3 pm). They were very friendly and helpful. The resort was located right on the beach. The great part was that there is a small grassy area (very well maintained) on a ledge separating the beach from the parking area - it had lounge chairs - we spent a lot of time there. It was nice because my son could crawl there without getting sand all over himself. Also there is an elevator- great for strollers.
What a great view from the balcony of the terrace at the suite- You could see dolphins jumping out of the water in the morning and at sunset-. We got food from the grocery store directly across the street (which was such a convience!!) and ate breakfast on our terrace each morning. We got food and wine from the grocery and had a great BBQ lunch by the pool, the pool area landscaping was very nice.
I can't really complain about anything- the only thing was that our dishwasher did not work very well. But other than that-- the place was clean and everything that we had hoped for in a relaxing beach front Florida vacation.

Been going to the Seaside for many years and we are always very pleased with it. The units are always amply stocked with the essentials and clean. It is the only place I will stay when visiting Fort Myers Beach and we have bumped our visits up over the past few years. We just enjoy the Seaside that much. We seem to bring people with us and they book their next stay before leaving because they enjoy it that much too. The Publix was a great addition along with the Marina.

This is the 14th year we've stayed at Seaside and after the first of the year we will make reservations to go back again. The suites are very clean and maintained very well. The staff is located onsite and available if needed. Each unit is tastefully decorated. The pool and lounge area are very well maintained. This was the first time we took our grand daughters and they thoroughly enjoyed playing on the beach building sand castles, playing in the Gulf and watching the dolphins in the mornings. We consider Seaside our home away from home every October!

My wife and I stayed for one week 10-18 to 10-25-08 and we wish that we could have stayed longer, A finely run complex with an outstanding staff. We have visited Fort Myers many times in the past and have enjoyed each visit, but this was truly the best stay we have ever had. The room was exceptional with outstanding views of the Gulf and beach areas, and the staff of Michael, Anthony and Patricia treated us more like friends then as customers. We will highly recommend this resort to anyone we know and are looking forward to a return visit in 2009.

We recently stayed for a week at Seaside. This is our idea of a relaxing vacation. The condo is ideally located in the middle of the island, far enough from the Times Square area to avoid the noise and bustle but close enough to walk down to join the fun. It's directly across the street from a Publix so we didn't even have to plan meals, just decide what we want to eat (or drink) and walk across the street to buy what we needed. This resort has to have the best pool on the island, large, and on the south side of the building so you can see the gulf from the pool area with sunshine there the whole day. The beach itself was immaculate the whole week we were there. We especially liked walking south along the nice shallow shelf with our feet in the water. There is no drop-off along the beach so it would be ideal for kids. (I wish we knew about this beach when our son was growing up).
The unit we had was lovely, two bedroom and two baths and a lanai with a view that's priceless; I especially liked checking out the beautiful, uh, scenery on the beach. Oh, and the dolphins playing straight out from the unit were nice also.
Having wireless available at the whole resort was nice but the fact is we were so busy enjoying ourselves at the pool and beach that we didn't use it much.
My wife and I are both runners and I'd have to say that this beach is about as good as it gets for running, especially on these old knees. While there is plenty of beautiful soft sand to play in, near the waterline the sand is nice flat hard-pack. Can't tell you how nice it is to be running along trying to spot a dolphin or watching an osprey dive and catch a fish. Sure takes your mind off how tired you are from the run.
