“Some good points but also some not-so-good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

My wife and I live locally and eat here occasionally. She loves the fresh gazpacho soup - fresh tomatoes and other vegetables make this a well-prepared appetizer. I enjoyed the wedge salad appetizer. The Manhattan clam chowder is rather bland, however - go with another soup if that is what you are after. (Hey guys - it's Southwest Florida - how about putting a good seafood gumbo or spicy conch chowder on the menu?!) For the main course, I ordered a grouper special, which was not so good. I may be mistaken but the grouper didn't seem fresh - it seemed as if it were frozen. Compared to other local eateries like Doc Fords on Fort Myers Beach, or Skip One I can't say that I'd order it again here. Fellow diners seemed to enjoy the oysters and shrimp. Our server was attentive and helpful. If you are at Bell Tower and looking for a good meal, Blue Pointe could work out - but it seems a bit hit or miss.

“Best oysters”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

The menus are on electronic tablets that gives you a picture of the menu item. Service was excellent. Our server, Nick was attentive and friendly.
Everyone in our group were with the quality and presentation of our meals.

“Renovated but still Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

Although recently renovated, it looks almost identical. The menu is now on an electronic tablet which allows you to get a preview of the menu item and a description. The food is essentially the same and is generally fresh and good. The service is also very good. I must say the mixed drinks are very thin and had to send it back; this was a prior problem also. Another annoying problem is the fact that many patrons think I want to eat dinner with their dogs! Come on; I don't like the barking or the possibility the dogs deeds may be deposited on the ground or floor near my table. I love dogs, but not at my restaurant; leave the dogs at home.

“Almost Excellant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

This would have been a excellent review except for one flow, a big one, but the manager took the meal off our bill.

The Oyster were excellent. Best we have had. The clam chowder was the best we have ever had, and we come from New England. The desert was excellent, Coconut Cream pie was very good, but the apricot and raspberry sauce did not go with it well.

Service was excellant

Now for the bad news. We LOVE Swordfish. We both had Swordfish and in both cases the fish was overcooked, dry, and lacked flavor. I complained and mine was taken off the bill. We felt even though both swordfishes were not cooked well, taking one off the bill was sufficient. Was disappointed in that.
