We stayed at the Quality Inn knowing that it was being remodeled, but having read mostly good reviews. The remodeled lobby and breakfast room was beautiful, as well as the exterior. The receptionists were professional and pleasant. The halls and rooms were spotless, and the beds comfortable. The price was very good also. There were uncompleted work areas, but they were really not cons, as eventually they will be completed.
However, even though the rooms appeared to be remodeled at first look, with newer flat screen televisions, all of the other furniture appeared to old and outdated, and did not fit with the modern look they were trying to achieve. The lamps, radio, and telephones were ancient. The bathroom, although very clean, had old rusted fixtures and cracked sink bowl. Our beds had part of the frame sticking out on the side which I struck more than once. The doors seemed to have been replaced, but did not fit the jambs. Our room door had an inch gap, from which one could clearly look into the room from the hall. There was no elevator to the second floor, other than a strange contraption in the lobby for wheel chairs. The hotel was sparsely occupied on the day we visited, so breakfast was also sparse, with the bare minimum offered.
It is possible these cons will be addressed when the remodel is complete, which would make the hotel very modern,as well as convenient to the airport.
