We had no room reservations and didn't want an older motel with outside entrances; like the ones on rte. 41. We stopped by late on Sat. night of Memorial Day weekend and found it very eye appealing. It looked like it was brand new. The rate for the 1 bedroom with the queen sleeper and two televisions was only $99. That included a hot breakfast buffet too. We found the room clean, the service was great and we would definately stay there again.

We stayed two separate nights at this hotel, one after our days on Sanibel Island, one after we got back from Miami and heading out to airport the next morning.

We had two bedrooms suites, with two bathrooms. The rooms are clean, the breakfast selections are good(included in room rate), the staffs are attentive. So for the money we paid, I have to say we were quite happy.

In our family travels we stay at a Residence Inn whenever possible, because we have always been more that pleased with their accommodations and service. So when we made plans to attend a family wedding in Florida, we, again, selected a more expensive Residence Inn rather than stay at newer Motel/Hotel chains closer to the wedding site. This decision, however, turned out to be most disappointing. We had arrived late from a twenty-four hour car trip and unpacked quickly. We then noticed that the room was clean, but the furniture was old, worn and soiled. The draperies were not any better. The greatest shock occurred when we opened the pullout bed. It was covered with large stained areas from who knows what. As we did not have the time to look for another place to stay I reported the situation to the front desk, which only provided a mattress cover to put some barrier of cleanliness between us and these offensive stains. The room was very uninviting and we were fortunate to limit our stay to our required sleeping hours. We were advised that the hotel is to be renovated in 2009, but steps should be taken to eliminate conditions, which permanently sully a hotel chain’s reputation. As a result of this stay, we can no longer automatically rely on Residence Inns to provide an expected pleasant experience.

Hotel is located at the intersection of major noisy busy streets. Heavy traffic. Difficult to enter Colonial street traffic from hotel parking lot .
Hotel property is on the final landing path of planes to nearby busy city airport. Aircraft engine noise flying over the hotel can be intolerable . Close flying airlanes take off and land all daylong and landings at very low altitude sometimes continue late until 11pm. I was nervous most of the time rather than relaxed staying in this hotel.
Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is OK.

My husband was going to Spring Training baseball games so myself, our two kids (an infant and a toddler) and my Mom tagged along. We needed a hotel which offered a two bedroom suite...somewhat hard to find. Based on price, proximity to the baseball games and reviews I saw on Trip Advisor, we decided upon the Residence Inn. We were certainly pleased with our overall experience there! The hotel is not new but it is in no way shabby. It is very well maintained and super clean. The two bedroom suite perfectly accomodated our family. We had to use the laundry facilities during our stay and the room as well as the washers and dryers were very clean. The daily breakfast was decent...the usual suspects were there---cold cereral, breakfast carbs, juice, fruit, etc. Some other hot items were offered like sausage, eggs, potatoes and make-your-own waffle. The coffee was tasty with several offerings including a Dark Roast. The pool and pool area are somewhat small but were certainly clean and the size was great in terms of keeping up with a toddler. While the hotel does allow pets, I never heard them or smelled them! We saw some other hotel guests walking their dogs but it never affected us. The hotel even had a bowl of doggie biscuits in the lobby. I thought that was a nice touch. Service requests were met quickly and efficiently. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and did a nice job in our suite. Some stuff we did besides baseball - drove to Sanibel Island (the toll is a steep $6.00, round trip), visited Fort Myers Beach (this was our first and LAST visit there), visited the Lee County Manatee Park (I definitely recommend this, perfect for kids of all ages and perfect spot for a picnic on a nice weather day) and shopped at the Miromar Outlets (highly recommended)!

Needed to be in Ft Myers for Christmas and choose this hotel for location and extra space. Did not disappoint. Very clean hotel. Great hot & cold breakfast that is part of the room rate. Lots of space in the living room, small kitchen and adequate bedroom. Bathroom was fine with plenty of hot water. And did I mention clean! Small pool which would have been adequate for families with kids needing a dip. One free internet station. Friendly staff. This would be ideal for any business traveler as they have free evening cocktails Mon-Thurs and free eats on Wednesday as well(dinner). Very pleased with this property. It is not new but staff works hard making it look that way
