Description: Welcome to Capone's Coal Fired Pizza, legit since 2014. From the moment you walk through the door you are back in the roaring 20s, with a prohibition bar feel. From the hostesses in flapper dresses to the décor and Al Capone's safe in the basement in the middle of the dining room ... We serve a great thin crust, coal-oven fired pizza, with the freshest custom toppings. Beyond that we are famous for our oven roasted wings and our pasta that is made in house fresh daily. Add a handmade old-school cocktail or a glass of wine from the bar, sit back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. And your pizza. As we like to say: "Pizza so good, it should be illegal!"

“So happy we gave it a try”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

We were invited to join our children downtown for pizza at this new place. I don't believe they have been open too long. We had to wait awhile for a table, because it was Sat. night and there were 7 of us. That was OK with us. We waited about 45 min, it would have been shorter but they made a mistake on the cell number we gave them for a text that our table was ready.
We all tried something different from the menu. My husband ordered a caprese salad for us to share. It was top notch, tomatoes were ripe and the cheese was very good, it was drizzled with some of the best balsamic vinegar and olive oil combo. We ordered a large Tommy Gun, and veggie. A med. Italian and a med greek. They were so good. The crust was thin and blistered by the coal oven, but still a little chewy. Great experience! We plan on going back soon with more visitors.

“New Pizza joint”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

My wife and I recieved a gift card for Capon's and went on a Sunday evening. The place was packed. We had a at least a 20min wait. When we were shown to our seats, it didn't take long for our server to arrive and take our drink order. The atmospher was campy. It was like a speakeasy. The staff where dressed in black and some of the females where dressed like "flappers". The menu had your usual pizza place items, assorted pastas, apps, and salads. We selected a ceazar salad, which was delicious and a large Pizza w/onions, mushrooms, pepperoni, and sausage.
The server brought out these little plates (to share the salad) and lager ones for the pizza. We went to use the lager plates and found them to be wet. So much so we had to tip them over and wipe them dry off.
When we were served out pizza, I asked to get two more plates. These too, where very wet. Any way to the pizza. It was good, but not great. The crust could have been just a little thicker to accomadate the amount of toppings on it.The crust was also burnt in a few spots. The sauce was ok and the toppings where also, ok.
The pizza's are a little pricey and at $2.50ea for the toppings that also adds up.
We looked around and noted that the pasta dishes looked good. They appeared to be good sized portions also. Maybe next time we'll try them.
All in all it wasn't a bad experience.

“Best Pizza Ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

Had the pleasure of visiting Capone's Coal Fired Pizza in downtown Ft. Myers Florida. We ordered pizza with the works and a large caesar salad. All I can say, is it was probably the best pizza I have had in a long time. The thin crust was perfect and the toppings had excellent flavor. The caesar salad was huge, split between 3 of us! We also tried the italian beer, great. Cannot wait to go back in November, this will be a place that we definitely stop back at.

“Best Pizza in Ft. Myers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

Went to Capone's twice last week! We couldn't get enough the first time so we had to go back. The pizza was delicious, the service was great, and atmosphere was warm and fun. The specialty pizzas included some really good choices. I loved the thin crust and the toppings were fresh and seasoned perfectly. Our server was Brandon and he did an excellent job!
