We went to Ft Myers for one night to catch a play and after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor decided to stay at this hotel. I am very glad we did. The hotel was very clean, I am not sure if the slight smell of bleach/chlorine was because the cleaning crew was working when we arrived or because of the indoor pool, but either way I didn't mind. The room was cute and decorated well, comfy mattress and pillows. Free wifi and free continental breakfast, microwave and mini fridge in the room. If you can't get up in time to make it to breakfast there is a Cracker Barrel and Starbucks practically in the parking lot. Check in and out was a breeze! I am not sure how far this hotel is from the beach or some other of the Ft Myers attractions but it was only about 10 mins from the theater. There is PLENTY of dining nearby ranging from fast food to the normal restaurant chains, and several supermarkets. All in all a very decent hotel for the price. They also had a banner hanging to announce they had won another award for 2008-2009. I will definately stay here again if I ever find myself traveling to Ft Myers again.

We just returned to Iowa from staying 6 nights at this hotel over spring break. We attended Mn Twins spring training games and found this hotel to be a fabulous spot to stay while enjoying Ft Meyers. It is very close to the air port, we rented a car at the air port and found our way around Ft. Myers and to the ball park very easily.

The hotel is very clean, and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The free breakfast had many hot and cold items to offer. It was very busy during the time we stayed, but the staff handled it with a smile and class. We would stay there again. The week that we were there, they had received a quality award and proudly had hung a banner on the outside of the hotel. A very well deserved award, I would say!

Stayed one night in mid-Feb before flying out of airport. Clean and comfortable room; very knowledgeable and friendly front desk staff. Very nice breakfast in a room big enough to handle the morning rush. A restaurant within walking distance, a plus. Maintenance couldn't get our alarm clock to work, but he followed up with a contact to the front desk, so they set up a wake-up call, another plus for service. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom, plus no. 3. Would stay there again.

The hotel appeared very new and the suite was lovely and clean.
We shared it with my sister and her husband. The pool is an inside one and they have a hot tub there as well. I prefer outside, but if the weather is rainy or cooler some might enjoy it inside.
They do not have a nice area to sit outside and no balconies.
I like to be able to enjoy the outside too. The price was excellent, it had dropped a lot since first booking.
Staff were nice and also helpful. It was minutes to the airport so convenient if you are flying.

We had problems at this location for New Years 2007/2008 so this year we decided to go for Christmas to visit relatives. Last New Years, hockey kids (there with their families for a tournament at a nearby athletic stadium) ran up and down the halls all night long. The hotel did nothing about this.

This year we checked in on December 24 and were told that the basketball teams had just left. The hotel was quiet until the 26th when the hockey teams arrived. These are not teams with coaches---they are families with parents who have NO regard for others at the hotel. They let their kids run up and down the halls, playing hockey in the stairwells and hallways, pucks and sticks hitting doors, etc LATE at night. The parents were setting up goals in the hallways and encouraging their kids!!! I guess they thought they were the only ones in the hotel. The hotel did nothing when I reported kids playing hockey in the stairwells. Parents let their kids do cannonballs into the hot tub even though I was in there (and it's a small hot tub). These kids totally ruined the pool area with screaming and running and jumping on top of other people in the pool. Again, parents sat and did nothing. We made a call each time to the front desk during the hallway hockey games. The games stopped when someone walked up, but resumed as soon as the hotel person walked away. Finally it did get quiet and we couldn't WAIT to get out of there the next day.

I am not sure what we will do next year. I guess we will have to stay further away from the arena (and that means further away from our family) or only stay in the area Dec 24/25. Hotels can't do much for rudeness but they can enforce basic rules of decency and quietness. Also I would think that such behavior would not be good if some kid or another guest got hurt during one of the hall or stairwell games.

The other problem was that before the hockey people arrived, that our smoke alarm went off very late at night. We called the front desk. We had to wait for a maintenance man to return to the hotel. I think that the basic hotel staff should know how to change a battery in these devices. The maintenance man came up WITHOUT a battery! He left. After about 30 minutes, the shuttle van driver came up and said the maintenance man had left. The shuttle van driver just removed the whole device. The hotel had no batteries for them. I would think that the hotel should have a large supply of batteries for something required by law. Also, if they ran out they could go to one of the many nearby gas stations that surely sold 9V batteries. OR go to an empty room (there were many empty rooms) and get one of the batteries in their smoke alarm to put in our room. Then close that room to any guests until a battery is replaced. I would think that removing the smoke alarm would be the LAST possibility!!! It was fixed the next day but the whole thing was like a cartoon of incompetence.

In general, staff is not prepared to handle problems. When we checked out, the woman did not even ask how our stay was. When my parents checked out (they stayed there, too), the woman asked and mom told her about the problems with the hockey kids. THE WOMAN LAUGHED AND THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY!!!
