Enjoyed 2 hrs on the excellent boardwalks (which let you focus on birds in the trees rather than watching your footing). Beautiful photography opportunities. Didn;t see the actual wild hogs, but other weekly visitors showed me cell phone snapshots from just a few days prior of the "hog family" that trotted under one of the boardwalks. (Hog footprints EVERYWHERE in the mud!!) Black-crowned night-herons were within 10 feet of boardwalk and seemed calm despite all the birders' attention. Don't miss the learning center; excellent displays, including the photo contest winners in the educational room just down the hall.

BONUS: Inspirational quotes about nature throughout the boardwalk. Lovely. Lots of nice benches spaced along the boardwalk to let you step out of foot traffic on a busy day & just enjoy nature.

We enjoyed the peaceful walk thru something I'd never been thru. We saw a snake, different birds, turtles , squirrels and one alligator. The paths are nice for walking and the staff there is super friendly and knowledgable. One dollar an hour for parking. The walk iis free.

What a wonderful, peaceful 2 hour walk with nature. You never know what will be around on the days you go. We didn't see any wild boars and there weren't very many birds around, but other creatures were there. There is no entrance fee, but you pay $1.00/hour to park (buy it upfront and put sticker on your dash).

I am a Florida Native so I've seen quite a few Florida trails. This is a great one. The woods are thick and shady. We saw several water moccasins and lots of birds. We heard the hogs but we didn't get to see them. Make sure you grab a map/brochure at the beginning. It has a lot of information in it about each station.

Super nature preserve, definitely worth it. A 1.2 mile flat boardwalk raised above the swampy waters. $1.00 hr parking, cheap. A couple of lakes nestled within. Looks & feels primeval, very lush plant growth: cypress, ferns, air plants, vines, wild iris & more. Wildlife we observed: gators, feral pigs, snakes, squirrel, & lots of birds: ibis, egret, woodpecker, heron & more. Late in the day, birds come in to rooste. Has a visitor center though we didn't have time, they close at dusk.
