“Birds come home to roost.”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

I enjoy the preserve and learn something new everytime I visit. This time we waited until dusk. The last pond we visited was the big Gator Pond. A thousand birds chose to fly in over our heads to roost for the night in the trees on one side of the pond. What a sight to see!

“Always a fun walk with the family”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

We don't always see animals but we love walking through the woodsy boardwalk regardless. We do see gators very often in the pond and sometimes even otters. The new visitor enter they have is so nice, love it!

Spent a cloudy afternoon walking the boardwalk. Staff very interesting and helpful. Great chance to learn about native flora and fauna. Easy walk. Convenient location in Ft Myers.

“February Afternoon”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed are afternoon at the Six Mike Cypress Slough. We enjoyed seeing many animals in their natural habitat. One thing people need to take into consideration is to be still and to quietly walk the trails they would see so much more and have a more enjoyable experience.
