“Only large park worth visiting in Fort Myers”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

Park has many walking and biking trails. Swing sets and water fun for small children. No fee to get into the park. Small parking fee. For a nominal fee you can rent bikes and small water boats.
Many locals bike to the park or run the trails. Food concession stand near the water.
There is a fragrance garden as well.

You can rent tables under the many covered atpreas for parties.

Large fields for outdoor games,

If you are not from this area, it is worth your time.

“The best park around!”
Reviewed December 6, 2013 via mobile

I have lived here for four years and find this park, by far, to be the best attraction. There are paved walkways, lakes, playgrounds the kids love, and small water parks. There is a little train that rides around the park that is great to do during Halloween and Christmas. There is a place to get ice cream and snacks, a Botanical Garden, and a lot of open space. There are pavillions for parties or picnics. You can rent bikes, canoes, or kayaks. I just love it there!

“NICE Park !”

Very Nice park ! enjoyed walking the entire length of the walking trail ... we went for a Renaissance event and then wandered around the park to see what else was there. Nice photo opportunities.

“My New Favorite Park!”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

This is a beautiful park! I live about 35 minutes away and never knew this park existed. Now that I know, I'll make the drive to experience the scenic biking/walking trails, native vegetation, botanical gardens, birds & wildlife, lakes, picnic areas, and more as often as possible. For the kids, there are fabulous playgrounds, water play areas, bounce fun, and train rides. I rented a two seater, four wheeled, peddled wagon/bicycle(?). Bicycles, paddle boats, and kayaks are available to rent, so the trails or lakes can be explored off foot. For people who like the outdoors or who are interested in beautiful photographic opportunities, Lakes Regional Park should not be missed.

“Missed the train”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

We had a hard time determining the train's schedule online so we missed the last ride of the day but it looked like a nice ride and it is a great park. You'll have to pay the parking meter and the train so bring a few bucks. On weekdays it appears the train runs from about 10:00 - 1:30. I think the weekend hours might be a little longer. Google (mobile) maps took us the wrong way so make sure you know where you are going. The entrance to the park is on Gladiolus Dr near Tamiami Trail & 6 Mile Cypress, right next to Castle Golf. Google mistakenly took us into a gated community off Summerlin.
