We enjoyed a too-short visit to Lakes Park while my parents had an appointment across the street, and the entirety of our visit was spent between the children's playground and the children's water playground. The playground structure is fairly typical, although I wish they had rubber on the ground rather than bark mulch, which is far more annoying when it gets in shoes and also can leave splinters. My daughter really enjoyed the water playground though -- children from ages 1 to probably 10 were all enjoying running through the many water sprinklers, fountains, and structures. I believe there was also another (smaller?) water playground but it was not open the day we visited. We saw many families pedaling around the park in 4-person bicycle carriages, and that looked like a lot of fun and something we will definitely do next time. A lot more to explore than we were able to do in the hour we were there.
