“LOCATION PERFECT for downtown Fort Myers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

This is a small hotel with 24 suites and regular rooms on the marina. Not all rooms have a view. It was very clean, had free parking and included a continental breakfast. We just came for an extended weekend to see the Eidson & Ford Estates (very short walking distance from hotel). The Legacy is very close to historic downtown Fort Myers, which has cool restaurants, shops, galleries, a park and nightlife. We walked to downtown. There is even a free public trolley that picks up and drops off at the hotel that goes downtown. Publix is just a a couple blocks down the road. Highly suggest taking the historic walking tour of downtown Fort Myers. It really gives you a lot of insight regarding the city's history and its current revitalization. Definitely would stay there again! Nice staff too!

Room Tip: They have suites and regular hotel rooms. We just wanted a regular hotel room (cheaper price). Som...

Having booked another hotel in Fort Myers which turned out to be not what we wanted we hurriedly went on to the internet and found that this Hotel had one room left for the night - lucky for us. This hotel is right on the harbour and next door is Joe's Crab Shack. Man in Reception when we checked in was one of the owners and extremey helpful. The room/suite we had was large, there were 2 double beds, a good size bathroom, a walk in wardrobe, and then through to a large kitchen/living room which had evrything you could need and then a back door onto a balcony overlooking the harbour. We stayed 2 nights and would highly recommend it. Breakfast was included in the price - a buffet style with enough choice. We understood that a liquor licence had recently been granted which will enhance the amenities. A short walk into the coast area of Fort Myers with a selection of restaurants and shops.

Room Tip: As far as we could tell there is probably not a lot to choose from other than the view of the harbou...

This is a motel not a hotel. Definitely not what you expect. Expecting 3 star or better by look of website. Very disappointed. Very costly, not a good value, Cost us $215 for room with double beds. Very clean room, cheesy small bathroom, very basic, large living area. If staying upstairs any noise you make brothers the people below. Now staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton, 5 times the room and facilities for $50 less a night. No phones in rooms. Office closed at 8:30. Breakfast is basic continental.

You can read my long review on Hotel Indigo as to how we ended up at Legacy Harbour.
My husband and I thank you Legacy Harbour for salvaging our trip! This was a great find! Family owned and operated, very friendly, very clean, just awesome! We will be back to get out of the cold winters! You took on our horrific situation from the Hotel Indigo and handled it one thousand times more professional than the Indigo. Can't thank you enough for your help and easing our stress!

Room Tip: Marina side, great way to wake up.

A very nice place to stay on the river within walking to downtown restaurants. The staff was very helpful. Nice breakfast but only continental. Beautiful views of marina. Quiet location but a short walk to the "action". Easy parking.

Don't be fooled! They have no Internet connection, despite what they tell you and the excuses they make. It was terribly frustrating & time consuming only to realize I was not going to be able to work at this lovely place. if you want to be disconnected, come here! Orherwise, don't be lured by its charm and waste a day THINKING you're going to get connected any second now...

Travelling solo can be stressful for a woman, so I lucked out when I found this hotel on Trip Advisor. My suite was large, bright, spotlessly clean, and had a balcony overlooking the marina and harbour. All of the staff were A-1 in terms of knowledge, friendliness, and service. The property is within easy, safe walking distance to downtown Fort Myers and a Starbuck's. There's even a small waterfront park for kids close by with lots of benches overlooking the harbour. You can walk to Publix to pick up groceries and the staff will help you plan outings. The property and rooms were very safe and there's a security guard on premises throughout the night. I enjoyed my stay so much that I re-booked a room there again at the end of my tour of southwest Florida.

Room Tip: Book a suite on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the harbour.
