Had lunch with some friends at this restaurant yesterday. The food and service both were very good. Prices were a little on the high end but they did have 3 or 4 lunch specials that are in the $8 to $9 range.

Excellent all around. Food, drink, service, atmosphere and dessert. Price was typical of a quality restaurant.

My wife and I have been here twice before and written very good reviews. She loves the deserts and was really looking forward to a birthday desert - the Mexican Apple Pie. We went back this weekend for her birthday and were disappointed, mostly with the service. When we were being seated, I asked the manager if he could do a birthday candle in my wife's desert and he said it would not be a problem. Well, there was no candle with desert. Also, they were sweeping/vacuming the floors in the areas right around our table as we were eating. We were only 1/2 way through the deserts when they brought the check - "no rush" of course, but it did not feel hospitable. These may seem like small things, but small things make the difference between good and great service.

Finally, the booths were a little dirty. Between courses the table was left with a lot of crumbs; the counter top area between the booths was so dusty you could write your name in it.

The food was still good and the deserts outrageous, but service left something to be desired.

I've eaten here many times. Ft. Myers is very limited in Mexican restaurants--here and Iguana Mia being about it--and both are priced accordingly. Service and food are consistently decent, but priced like gourmet. We split a sampler, but it's still a little painful for what you get, IMO.
