“BETTER THAN EVER”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

We went to this place with friends and each of us ordered "The Clam Bake" with extra Shrimp. It is perfect for sharing with your spouse/partner/date/companion/accidental acquaintance/business associate, well you get the idea.

This is truly a dining experience not to be missed. The meal is delivered in a large bucket containing a Maine lobster, mussels, steamers, sausage, Atlantic cod, corn on the cob, and a few potatoes & some carrots. We added some shrimp to this mess and they were big and just perfect. This all comes with some garlic bread. Oh, yes, we started with some delicious seafood gumbo.

This was an experience to remember and replicate at some time down the road...

“Nothing impressive”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2013

They do not bring bread to the table. The salad is so-so, though I did like the house dressing, a raspberry vinaigrette. The waiter recommended the swordfish, which was an expensive menu item. We got one blackened and one grilled. The portions were huge, but pretty flavorless. The service and atmosphere were okay, but we can't recommend this place overall.

“Worth the Drive from 75”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2013

This great New England seafood restaurant on 41 in South Fort Myers has delicious food, great service, and fair prices. The fried Ipswich clams are delicious, not Kelly's at Revere Beach delicious, but close. My husband had lightly blackened haddock which was super delicious. We will return to try more of the menu.

“Not a Chain Seafood Rest.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2013

The restaurant is worth your time if you are looking for a "Non" Chain seafood establishment,
The atmosphere is good and comforting. The bar is very inviting. (Dark Wood.) On Weekends, there are live bands. Had the Fried Haddock both times I have visited. You receive more white fish than the Grouper, even though the prices are the same. Be sure to ask for portion sizes when ordering. Living in Fort Myers all my life - I knew to ask about this. I would definitely visit again.

“Dissapointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

We had heard good things about the Clam Bake restaurant, and being a Cape Codder at heart I wanted to try it. My wife had the shrimp dinner, which was over cooked, and I had a steamed lobster which also was over cooked. I hate to drive all the way to Naples for lobster at the Wharf
Restaurant, (best in SW Florida) so we'll try the Clam Bake one more time...
