“One of the best places, nice and local”
Reviewed April 20, 2009

Pleasantly surprised. Very local atmosphere. The local grouper and crab cakes were out of this world. A diamond in the rough. Family owned. The 2 reviews before this one are on the mark! If you are looking for a local restaurant, tired of the expensive places, this is the place. CASH only.

“Wonderful family”
Reviewed March 8, 2009

Eating at the Cracker Box was like a trip back in time. The most fun we've had at a meal out in a long time. The Welker family not only served and cooked for us, but regaled us with a great setlist of none-too-shabby country and bluegrass covers as well. Truly a multi-talented (and certainly energetic) family. After 3 hours of good music, good food, and good laughs, we felt like long-time family friends. A guaranteed evening of laughs and comfort for anyone visiting the Fort Myers area.

“Local atmospher, laid back”
Reviewed February 9, 2009

Love it. This is what we call a true local's place. The food is good the music is great (folk,Jonny Cash, blue grass when we have been). We've been going there for 10+years and keep going back. Broiled shrimp is my favorit. Frog legs and burgers are good also. The menu is fairly basic. Prices are great and the servers have all ways been friendy and will stop and talk to you if it isn't busy. We bring our guest there and it is alway the one of the restaurants they want to go back to. We don't need to dress up. It's very casual and nothing fancy. . If you like to have linen on your table this may not be the place for you. We wil be down in two weeks and are all ready talking about going here.
