Came here after an afternoon boating on the river. Nice, quiet, & cool (temp) inside. Enjoyed the French Onion Soup & the Chicken Crepe special was fabulous! Service was a little lacking but did not ruin the entire experience. Will definitely return next time I'm in town!

As part of three couples, we enjoyed a break from touring beautiful downtown Fort Myers by having lunch at "The French Connection." We enjoyed our sandwiches and soup very much. Our cocktails were good and the prices were very fair for everything we ordered. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. We will stop again when in the area.

A local recommended this place for a casual dinner and we loved it. I had the pretty-healthful seafood quiche with a lovely side of fresh fruit and a homemade cherry muffin, and my husband had the Cuban sandwich. All the desserts looked good (though someone else got the last slice of the Mudpie)--we got the apple crepe, definitely shareable, and next time might try the key lime pie (only $3!)

Walked to this restaurant after touring the Burroughs home just down first street. I ordered the chicken/almond crepes which were sadly disappointing in a restaurant with the name French Connection. It was several small pieces of chicken among a sea of salty cream of chicken soup like substance. A few almonds sprinkled on top for a garnish. The fruit side was tasty-a fresh strawberry, couple melon chunks and fresh pineapple slice. My husband got the Reuben which the meat was lean but not much sauerkraut or sauce on it made for a dry sandwich. We both got the French onion soup which was "ok". Ordered the mudslide for dessert, thinking it was the "mile high" kind we used to get years ago. It wasn't, more like the size if a slice of key lime pie. The ice cream in it was mostly vanilla with a thin layer of mocha. A few pecans only for garnish. Server was friendly was service was slow. Wouldn't return.
