“Great service”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Visting from WI and stubbled upon French Connection. Service was excellent once seated. Waitress Joey was very quick and knowledgeable about the menu. Great recommendations. The food was casual but delicious. Enjoyed the Ahi Tuna salad with a hearty portion of tuna and fresh greens. The French dip with horse radish cheddar cheese was amazing! Also special ordered a turkey Rueben with pasta salad. Overall very satisfied with the personalized service and holiday atmosphere.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

We decided to try this place for drinks and appetizers after seeing the Florida Rep theater production of Lend me a Tenor. Our first selection for an appetizer was their Beach Bread, described as tomatoes and cheese on a toasted hoagie. We imagined a lot of tomatoes with a thin layer of cheese toasted under a broiler, but we were disappointed. There was hardly any tomato, way too much cheese, not really toasted and not a compelling flavor. We decided to go elsewhere for the rest of our appetizer dinner we had planned.

“Not very French, not very good”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

Basic sandwiches are okay at best. Baby back Ribs came out dry and, when we asked for some BBQ sauce,it came out cold from the frig. The only thing French about the place we some pictures on the wall, and a few creeps on the menu. Service was slow and perfunctory.

“Good for lunch while down town”
Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

Overall this place was pretty decent. The wait times for food were long considering when we went it was packed to the gills. Good food selection. Small downtown diner with friendly staff and somewhat appealing to the eye. Prices fair. I would go back, but not on an occasion when downtown is having a concert or celebration. Over all decent.
