This place has been a consistently good Japanese and Korean restaurant for decades. A favorite with local martial artists as well as many, many locals.

Origami has the BEST sushi and sashimi available south of Tampa. The menu is inventive and varied, the servings are ample, and the food is always fresh! The owner and her staff are incredible as well.....This place is a must visit!

Love Sushi? Then Origami in Fort Myers will be the place to go. My husband and I thought we were not sushi lovers, but stumbled upon Origami which is tucked away in a corner of one of the many outdoor shopping malls in Fort Myers. We were planning on ordering Tempura or Teriyaki, but the Sushi specials described were so tempting, that we ordered two. Normally I find Sushi bland and tasteless- not at Origami. One special consisted of Tempura shrimp, avacado, cream cheese and rice, wrapped in an avacado crust. Memorable! We also had pot sticker appetizers- best I've had. The menu offers not only Sushi, but Tempura, Teriyaki, noodle dishes, and Korean specials. I can't speak as of yet about anything but the Sushi. On the basis of the excellent Sushi, we will be back to try the other offerings.
This is a family friendly restaurant with reasonable prices. The decor is pleasing with a cascading waterfall at the entrance, low lighting, and modern art on the walls. You can sit at the Sushi bar if you wish to watch the chef prepare your meal and there are also tables for all sized groups.
The service was also excellent, friendly and attentive.

This owner run restaurant is wonderful. When the owner Rosa is around, she makes sure everyone is happy and well looked after. We go at least 3 times a month for lunch and 1-2 times a month for dinner. Kimchi and pickled daikon are awesome!

We have always appreciated the sushi here...it's much better than what you can get at the flashier alternative, Blu Sushi. We just found out this place is moving to a new location around I-75 and Daniels Parkway........8911 Daniels Pkwy # 5 Fort Myers.......close to the airport. We think this new location will be the perfect stop for take-out sushi for outgoing flights and a nice sushi treat on the way back home. Right now they are still in their current (hidden) spot in the Bealls shopping center opposite Costco. The best experience is sitting at the sushi counter so you can speak directly to the sushi chef. We always let him choose for us and we have tried a lot of of different things we probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. Don't miss the wahoo sashimi sometimes featured as a special.
