Description: Walking through the front doors, guests are greeted by the in-house seafood market, where the Prawnbroker showcases their specially chosen fresh fillets of fish and beef, hand-cut on premise, that are sure to tempt the palates of all. To emphasize their commitment to buying local and bringing you the freshest seafood Ft. Myers has to offer, you'll find our hand picked selection straight from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here you'll get a peek at the sumptuous fare that you'll soon be enjoying from their comfortable yet elegant dining room. Feast your eyes on mouth-watering Snapper, Gulf Shrimp, Softshell Crabs, Mahi Mahi, and the best Grouper Florida has to offer. Small tubs of pale pink creamy shrimp bisque stand in line next to bases for both kinds of chowder - New England style being what the restaurant is most famous for, a nod to the original owners' home region. Diners consistently return to enjoy these favorites plus the greatest Florida Stone crabs (in season) and Maine Lobsters.

Great food, great service, lovely location, comfortable ambience. Not cheap, but really worth it. Truly one of the best and most memorable meals I've ever had.

Pawnbroker is celebrating their 31st anniversary so they set much of their menu so that you can get two meals for $31. They have a special menu, slightly different from the one on the web site. There are several good choices at $15.50 each and they give every 31st customer a $31 gift certificate for your next visit (after December 1). The food was excellent, my brother and I each had the Mahi-Mahi which was excellent with baked potato and mixed veggies. Our guest had the grouper which she thoroughly enjoyed. The service was excellent, our waiter got us started with iced tea and bread before our guest arrived and was very informative about the menu selections. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also excellent. We will definitely be going back.

My wife and I visit friends in Ft. Myers regularly, and we always enjoy a fish feast at Prawnbroker. It is usually very busy which speaks to the quality of it's food and service. Definitely a good choice if you enjoy seafood.

We have always held the Prawn Broker as a special occassion restauant and the reason is simple.. The food is always good and reasonabley priced but what helps it stand out is the personality of the service staff. They even enjoy doing their jobs and it shows.

The Prawnbroker Restaurant and Fish Market has been my favorite fish restaurant in Fort Myers for years. It's been awhile since I have been back there because Fort Myers has so many good restaurants. When 'The Prawnbroker' ran an anniversary ad for Two dinners for $31, I thought lets go back. I had the Seafood Newburg and it was great. Soup or salad plus a baked potato was included. Beware, if you load your baked potato, adding bacon bits, it will cost you extra. Also, for an extra $1 you can have Lobster Bisque and it is well worth the dollar. There is only ten items that are Two for $31 but quite a selection of choices.
All in all, another great experience at The Prawnbroker. It's back to the top of my list.
