I read all these reviews and am hoping none of them are of the "paid" variety. I was truly looking forward to an authentic Italian meal (not massed produced like Olive Garden with their so-not Italian horrible meatballs). My wish came halfway true. The service as everyone commented on was lacking especially considering we were the only ones there except for a party of 8. Had to wait for everything and ask for water refills several times. Disappointed in the non-Italian salad which was small and came drowned with some kind of ranch/creamy Italian which we were given no option not even to have it on the side. It was brought like that.
The bread was hot out of the oven, refills were not offered.
The pasta and meatballs was very bland and non-seasoned sauce was put through a blender (and I changed "gravy" to sauce because it was not "gravy as true Italian would be. Some garlic, not much else.)
The stracciatelle soup on special was delicious as was the veal Marsala except a little too much breading on the veal which got soggy in the superb sauce. Portions were ample except for salad.
We will probably not go back and try suggestions by others to visit Ariana's.
I was disappointed that the grated cheese in this "authentic" Italian restaurant was served in a glass shaker, even Olive Garden grates it fresh.
