I have been to other Tijuana Flats before will not return to this one. First reason hygiene one of the staff coughs into her hand then promptly fills the ice bucket for sodas, then starts serving food. Never stopped to wash her hands. Second it is the size of a closet I would guess they could seat about 30 people. Third the taco shells were stale, where's the meat.
Overall just not worth it.

Food was ok, but I have never had a chimi with so little meat in it had a whole five bite's with meat in it the rest of the dam thing was cheese, cut a 1 inch strip down the side of chimi at this place and you just cut out all the meat they put in there chimi's , I have gotten chimi's off food trucks stuffed with a lot more meat than this place, I would not waste your money here!

The food is quite good. The service is either really good or awful with little in between. Some servers completely ignore you while others jump to help. Odd? The seating is jammed and uncomfortable. It's like they want to win a contest for most diners per square foot? Outdoor seating is hot and loud with adjacent traffic.

Meh. Staff was fantastic. Food was so so. I am an authentic and Tex-mex connosoiur, and so after all the hype, I had to see what this place was all about. Greeted at the front door by an enthusiastic young man, I was certain the service would be good and was not disappointed. The food however, was a let down. I was shocked to find out that chips and salsa were NOT complimentary as they are in just about every single similar tex mex joint. I ordered the pick two: a chicken chimichanga and cheese enchilada with the side of rice and beans as well as an a la carte ground beef taco. The chicken (what little there was) were large chunks of bland breast meat. Traditionally, chicken should be shredded flavorful pieces in a chimichanga. Also, the chimi was not fried long enough, giving it a doughy, chewy texture. The cheese enchilada was nothing to write home about. As for the beans and rice, they were cold and tasted as if they had just come out of a can. The beef taco however, was good. Very large and full of toppings. The a la carte taco oddly came with a side of chips, but no salsa. Again, you have to pay extra for that. Then there was the hot sauce bar. As a hot sauce addict, I liked the selections but found that it was just out of place. Why not have a salsa bar instead? It wasn't the worst, but by far wasn't the best. With so many authentic and "Ameri-Mex" options within a 15-20 minute driving distance for about the same money, I am not in a rush to return to Tijuana Flats anytime soon. It's only saving grace were the outstanding employees.

Very casual yet very good fresh food. Love the quick service and atmosphere of this restaurant. Be sure to check out taco Tuesdays...$4.99 two tacos drink and chips included. Go early as the line to order is out of the door by noon!
