“Great slower drive along the older section of Ft Myers.”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

The road meanders along the houses on the river including the Edison and Ford Estates. Eclectic mix of old and new punctuated with the occasional restaurant and business. But watch out for falling Royal Palm Fronds !!!!! Ft Myers is the City of Palms, and these royals are over 30 feet in size , with 10 ft fronds falling periodically, cars can become damaged quite easily.

“Average Road with tall palm trees”
Reviewed August 15, 2014 via mobile

The blvd has lots of things off it like restaurants, shops, and the Edison estates. The road is lined with palm trees which gives the feel of being in Florida. I wouldn't make a special trip to see the road. Just combine it with something else to do as sort of a detour.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

McGregor Blvd is a beautifully landscaped road with tall king palms lining the street. Beautiful older homes sit far back off the road, reminding one of the historical days of Fort Myers. The crown of the street is the Thomas Edison Estate...which is also well worth the visit.

“As Beautiful as I Remembered It”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

I have traveled up and down this lovely street hundreds of times since the 1960s, when my grandparents lived on a cul-de-sac street coming off of McGregor Boulevard. It is as lovely today as it has been in past decades. The royal palms planted and replaced along this street seem to go on and on, and the feeling one gets while driving, bicycling, walking, or jogging is quite pleasurable. There is simply nothing else quite like it in the world. This is evidenced by the thousands of postcards and other photos that one ends up seeing throughout life.

While enjoying a relaxing drive down McGregor, be SURE to see the excellent Edison and Ford Estates! They are remarkably wonderful.

“Everyone should see it”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

With a good mix of restaurants, McGregor from College to downtown is a must see. It's the 'real' old Florida.
