Its a great several miles of city, but lined with tall stately palm trees. It was originally started by Thomas Edison when he told the city he would put a mile of trees lining the street along the front of his home if the city would care for him after he was gone. They agreed and over time, others liking the idea continued to plant trees along McGregor. Now you can travel for miles under the palms...and if you like, stop for an occasional lunch at some of the great outdoor restuarants along the route.
