My review is mixed, although they have excellent food, excellent value. The ambiance is not much to write about, but it's just small and sort of a small sized strip mall location. They have excellent italian dishes and pizzas and good sized portions. And the prices are very reasonable. There are no reservations and during season, and even after, there's generally always a waiting line. So what's the problem?
The service and attitude tries to be customer focused, but it's a little harsh. I've been there many times, and it's consistent. The bad reviews where people are shouting at one another, I've never experienced, but I can envision, since the owner's attitude, seems to be, "we're very good and we know it and if you don't like it ...just leave". Never stated, but sort of understated. It doesn't mean that they don't try to have good quick service, as long as you realize that they're always in control, you may not consider it to be so bad, but their pleasantness is always at their choosing.
While this restaurant, even though small, is based on a volume business. They peddle value with less pleasantness and courtesy than they should, but they get away with it, since their food is excellent and their prices are very reasonable. I just wish they'd try harder to be pleasant.
