Looking for something to do in Fort Myers we decided we'd had enough of of shopping so we headed to The Edison/Ford Estate. We mostly wanted to tour the gardens which are beautiful but found a lot of history on both men to be quite interesting. The estate sits on the Caloosahatchee River and there are many places to sit and just look at the view. We chose to do an audio tour of the estate, gardens and museum (cost is $20 including the audio wand). A guided tour is $25. And if you want to learn about the botanical aspect there is a guided garden tour on certain days for $40. Definitely worth the trip,
