The winter estates are well worth the visit. Bobby was our tour guide and he was very enthusiastic and informative. This is a must see if you are visiting Fort Myers. Make sure you allow time to see everything including the museum.

“What an interesting time spent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

We really enjoyed the grounds. The weather was perfect. The leisurely time around the grounds was so relaxing. We saw the houses and the Lab. The area is such a wonderful place to be living. I hope to go back.

“Bygone Days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

A fascinating and interesting museum giving an insight into the prolific development created by one individual. The houses and grounds are extremely well maintained and interesting to explore. But leave plenty of time to explore the museum behind the gift shop.

“Beautiful Grounds and Historic Homes.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

While in Fort Meyers we had occassion to go to a classic car and boat show held at this location....what a treat! We not only enjoyed the car and boat exhibit but had a chance to enjoy the Ford and Edison homes and property as well. This should be a high priority site to add too your Fort Meyers "To Do List".

“Great place, awful audio tour narrative.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

This is a beautiful place full of fascinating displays and anecdotes. Don't rent the audio tour devices. The narrative is sketchy and repetitive and the "cues" for listening are poorly placed and not linked to what you hear. Confusing. You don't need a tour guide; just walking around and reading the documentation provides a great experience.
