I purchased $25 worth of Italian pastries during the Easter weekend to eat with my gourmet friends. As a true Canadian Italian who has grown up with Italian products my whole life and whose entire family came from Italy as well as a seasoned world traveller and visiting Italy at least annually this bakery needs to give themselve a headshake and train the chef.
The pastries looked stunning and were disgusting. They did not resemble Italian pastries in flavour in any way. Puff pastry was gunky and the cream was horrible.
We ended up throwing all of them out. Never again and shame on the owners for allowing this.
Also thought I should mention they had one person working on a long weekend and her attitude was also terrible. She was full of attitude and the helper in the back paid no attention to anyone. It is amazing what people put up with but not me nor my 50 friends who now have homes in the area.
