“A quick trip to France”
Reviewed May 24, 2011

We enjoyed finding this bakery during our visit to Ft. Lauderdale. Although the location didn't look that unique as soon as you stepped in it was an immediate transition. We come from a long line of bakers and were very satisfied with everything we had, including our most honest critic our 8 year old. We also checked out other bakeries in Los Olos and found that this one, was the best in town!

“The taste of Paris at first bite”
Reviewed April 5, 2011

When you walk through the doors of Bonjour Bakery & Cafe in Fort Lauderdale, walk up to the counter order a coffee and a pain au chocolat, then sit down in one of the squishy chairs, listen to the french radio broadcast, bite in to your pain au chocolat, close your eyes and at once you will feel as if you had been transported to the Boulangerie Malineau on the Right Bank in Paris. Yes, it is that good. I stayed at the Hilton across the street for five days, and ate at the Bonjour every morning. The croissants, brioches, pain au chocolat are some of the best pastries I have ever eaten in the United States. Hyperbole? Non. Try the Bonjour Bakery & Cafe and then write your own review. I believe that you will agree with my assessment.

“Excellent Place to Get Away for a Minute or Two!”
Reviewed December 20, 2010

This is a quaint little French boulangerie & cafe. It's unassuming, and ironically enough in the back of a shopping plaza (so it's definitely out of place). But this is part of it's charm. It reminds you that despite the hotels, malls, convention centers, and concrete, you can find a little oasis with good espresso, fine coffee, mouth-watering pastries and pies, and a balanced meal (think quiche with a mixed green salad). The service is perfect--the French candor with none of it's snobbery and sufficient customer service Americana. The place isn't with it's faults but they are trifle things which will differ from person to person. Go and enjoy.

“Just say "Oui" to Bonjour Bakery and Cafe”
Reviewed October 15, 2010

Very happy to find this little bakery. Wonderful quiche with spinach and goat cheese for lunch one day. The next day we went for breakfast and had great coffee and the best Napoleon I have had in years. When I am back in the area, I will go there again. Lovely.

“Good breakfast, but overpriced”
Reviewed August 3, 2009

We were heading out for a cruise so we wanted just a quick bite to hold us over until we boarded the ship. A quick breakfast turned out to be an expensive visit. Great breakfast croissant, but at $9, it was way overpriced. The others in our party had a plain croissant (2 people), 3 mini quiches and an apple pastry. Add a couple of milks, and iced tea and two coffees and we paid $41. Since it was a counter serve, we didn't tip so this was just the food price.

Yea, not a huge bill, but for very expensive for what we ate.
