“Great place to stay”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

I have never written a review before but felt compelled to after staying at the Beach Place Towers this weekend. I had booked our vacation before reading any of the reviews. All of the comments on the parking garage and elevators are pretty accurate. We never used our car for the 3 nights we were there, but the parking garage is a headache. The cost is comparative to any big city hotel, so as long as you are aware ahead of time it's still cheaper than taxis. The elevators are slow for four of them. Some times you got one right away and other times you waited, but never for more than a few minutes.

Those were the only negative things that i read that i could agree with. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. From the front desk, to the concierge who helped get pencils for my kids to do the homework they were missing, to Uncle Bob at the pool bar and everyone in between. The rooms were wonderful and spacious. We had a 2 bedroom villa for 6 of us. The master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The kitchen was beautiful with granite counter top and stainless steel appliances.

This is not a hotel with room service or maid service. However, we had our room cleaned on the 2nd night with beds fixed up, replenishing of soaps/lotions, our dishes cleaned. There are brooms, sweeper, change of trash bags, ton of towels and everything you need in a kitchen. We really didn't cook, but kept drinks in refrigerator & made coffee. There are hair dryers in the bathrooms as well. You do have to bring up your own luggage, but now a days, we all travel light and it's not too much of an issue, but there are portable luggage racks to help you if you have a lot.

The pool was great. It's not an expansive pool, but was large enough to hold quite a few people of all ages. And the comments about the sun covering it was not correct. Could be the time of year, but during this past weekend, it was sunny until 3:00 or past. The deck itself is massive with a ton of room to lay out with lounge chairs and regular chairs. Two hot tubs on each side. The bar area has high top tables and couches where you can get food and drinks.Billy at the towel hut is great. And know that you can borrow beach chairs and pool towels to take with you to the beach instead of paying $50 for two lounge chairs! There are also nice bathrooms with showers and lockers as well.

The Towers are part of the "mall" outside on the beach. It's 3 levels, full of shops, small eateries and bars. There is a 24/7 CVS (drugstore) on the 1st floor which has everything you need from pool/beach toys, food, drinks, beer & wine, to anything else you might have forgotten or couldn't take with you on a plane. There's also within walking distance plenty of places to eat. H20 to across the street to the south had a great breakfast. If you keep walking south there are a bunch of sidewalk cafes. Las Olas is right there, too, which is full of shops and restaurants. Don't expect family-type restaurants that are typical in a Marriott. You will have to walk down the street to the Ritz, Westin or Hyatt for that. However, if you have a car and are willing to drive, you can go up to Federal Highway where there is iHop, Dennys, etc. all within a 10-15 min drive.

I'm originally from this area, spent my Spring Breaks on the beach, and was thoroughly impressed on how Ft. Lauderdale has turned the beach into a great family destination. You cannot go wrong with this resort.

We stayed at this hotel with our two small children and had a very nice visit. The rooms were amazing - spacious, great views, great amenities - and it is just a few minutes walk to the beach. The beach area can be a bit noisy and the road in front full of traffic but we didn't mind this too much. There is a pool onsite and a small convenience store in the hotel (although we used the CVS near the beach more often). There are lots of dining options nearby, although we used our car (parking is $14/day which wasn't ideal but was acceptable as we could come and go) to get groceries much of the time. Overall a very nice stay.

Very clean, well stocked with amenities. 1br unit. Great bed and linens. I would return and recommend. (wireless internet a bit slow) Pool bartender had a good personality with the public. All staff encountered were friendly.

Room Tip: We had 12th floor corner - ocean. Very nice.

Great location, across the street from the beach. Not maintained that great, but the location makes up for it. Plenty to do right around the hotel. Nice roomy units. Large complex with nice pool and spa area.

Room Tip: Beach front is the best.

Once we got over paying $14 dollars a night for parking and realizing the area offered enough amenities that a car wasn't needed, we did just fine. The suite was nice and the rooms were clean. They offered lighted mirrors which my wife loved. We found the staff friendly and helpful. We usually like to stay in the West Palm Beach area, but this offered exactly what we wanted without driving. The water taxi is located close to the hotel and was an enjoyable ride.

Room Tip: The bay side is quiet and gives a great view although we requested an ocean viewl

BeachPlace always had a great location. With the recent renovations, they are not wonderful places to stay right on the ft. Lauderdale beach. The kitchens are now full and useful, the bedrooms are lovely and large, the views are, as before, outstanding. I'm so glad I tried it again. Everything is in place for a wonderful Ft. Lauderdale getaway. (Remember this is a time share property and not a hotel. No room service but plenty of places to eat just a few steps away.)

Room Tip: I prefer the view of the Ocean in the morning but some may want the sunset over the inter coastal wa...

This is a nice apartment complex, but shouldnt be called a Marriott at all. It lacks the services of a Marriott. No SPA! No lobby and bellboy to help when you arrive. You have to find a parking spot in the parking structure, walk yourself and your bags to the front lobby which can be very long and tiring.
Look elsewhere if you are used to the ammenities and being serviced.
