The staff was so helpful before and during my stay. The Front Desk manager made sure my reservations were perfect, even though I had to bug him with changes a few times. He made sure I had exactly the best room for my group. We ended up with a 2 bedroom villa. I reccommend the port view. It is BEAUTIFUL!! The room was co clean and comfortable. it came with a full kitchen with a stove and dishwasher. The master suite had a whirlpool tub. Each room had its own balcony. We went with another couple, and it was perfect. May stores and restaurants right at the ocean side. I will try to stay here everytime I go to Ft Lauderdale.

great location across the street from the beach with restaurants & shops within easy walking distance, & an easy drive to the airport, use of the parking garage a little awkward at first but ok once used to it, staff very helpful, only food on site is either a small conveinence store in the hotel and a grill by the pool, WIFI reception spotty in the rooms my only real complaint is having to rent chairs, umbrellas etc. on the beach. The Ritz is next door & if you stay there no charge for the use but you could pay up to $50 daily come on Marriott provide your guests this service for free, same situation exists at their Ocean Pointe resort in Palm Beach Shores guess Marriott's motto is it's easier to steal a dollar from a million people than steal a million dollars from one person

Room Tip: rooms facing intracostal have nice view of downtown Ft. Lauderdale

My wife and I stayed here for a week prior to embarking on a cruise. It was great, just across the road from the beach with restaurants out the front and nearby. The staff were very friendly and the room was great, very clean and comfortable with views overlooking the canals of Fort Lauderdale. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: You can either have a beach view or a canal view. We had a canal view which was a great view and we...

Clean hotel & friendliest staff ever!
Location is fantastic..across the street from beach. Allowed to bring your own refreshments to beach and to patio of hotel where there is a niiiice jacuzzi, pool and shuffleboard.
Hotel is sooo accomodating.
Beach is crazy crowded on weekends but not so much M-F. Even when crowded though..everyone is behaved..went with a crown of 11 and we had a blast!

Room Tip: kinda cant go wrong..either beachside or intercoastal waterways..both really nice views..

We stayed here for 2 nights to catch our plane flight home after a extended stay in Key Largo, FL. We were surprised at just how much fun this hotel was. Location is great, the pool and hot tubs are clean and roomy. We had an excellent time and wished we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Ocean view and up high are always the best. Up high gets you away from the noise of people having f...

This place ALMOST has it. Pros. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly. Location is ideal. Directly across the street from the beach and nearby restaurants/shopping. The rooms are clean and well furnished. (Although the furniture was visibly old and worn.) A nice layout for families. There is an adjoining door and a common family room. Flat screen TVs and a jet tub in the master suite. Small but nice balconies. Convenient CVS for necessities and a few Pubs are in the immediate property area. Cons. If you don't ask for a top floor you will hear lots of noise from the street. The hotel is in need of updating. Very eighties inside. (There is an update coming soon.) Elevators are slow. Probably not enough for the large number of guests in residence. The area can be a bit uncomfortable at night. Especially for older folks. Lots of non-resident locals hanging out, especially on weekends. The pool area is small and there are not enough tables/umbrellas for those that want them.

We were taking a cruise out of Miami and decided to fly in a couple of days early. Since we had our kids with us and it was over St. Patrick's Day, we didn't want to night life of Miami. The Beach Place Towers is in a great location in Ft. Lauderdale. We arrived very late, after midnight, and the desk staff was friendly and very helpful. When we got to our room a towel animal, turtle, greeted us. The kids loved swimming in the pool and being across the street from the beach made my husband happy. We had a smaller room with just a wetbar and microwave. It came in very handy to have breakfast in the room each morning. There is a CVS next door which is a great place to get breakfast food and they also sell beer and wine. We never had to rent a car since there are some very good restaurants within walking distance. We did eat lunch at the pool one day since our kids did not want to get out. The food was very good but pricey. They also served root beer floats one afternoon for $1.00 at the pool. My kids loved it! The hotel helped us arrange our transportation to the Port of Miami. In all, we had a great stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the inter-coastal waterway, They are quiet.
