They gave us a nice pool/ocean view room. I loved how the beach was right across the street and they also have a lot of activities for people to do, however it isn't the best beach. The hotel is nice and also offers onsite parking for a fee. We stayed in a suite and it was nice that we didn't feel cramped. I liked the full size kitchen, dining area and living room. The hotel also has amenities on site like cvs, and a couple of restaurants and everything else is walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this Marriott!

Room Tip: This Marriott has a very nice location. The rooms suites are huge and have full size kitchen. I loved how the beach was across the street and everything else is walking distance. The hotel has stores and restaurants inside the property as well. Very nice stay!

I'm here with my wife and 3 kids and inlaws a total of 7 in a 2 King Size bed room suite. For this many people to fit into a space comfortably without feeling claustrophobic is tough, yet this holds together seamlessly. The rooms are not oppulent, yet not trash either. The kitchens is well equipped with all you need

Granite countertops
Double sink with sprayer
Large refrigerator
Dishwasher
Microwave
Cooktop with stove
Coffee maker
Washer Dryer
Silverware
Dishware
Glasses
Bakeware
Utensils
Soap
Paper towels
Coffee and more
You will just have to go to the Supermarket purchase sugar and salt and your food and beverages
and you are set to go. You'll pretty much have all that you'll need.
The tile and carpet are new and the walls seem freshly painted.
The windows and doors to balconies are high quality
The decor i.e. is nothing to go crazy over, but to say it is attrocious or dated is a bit of a stretch.
Everything is comfortable and nicely spaced
The closet are big and offer small wall safes with keys
One suite offers kitchen, washer dryer, dining table with 6 chairs, large sofa with convertible bed, nighstand with lamp, 2 parlor chairs, wrought iron round table and tvconsole with dvd player and
2HD LG tv one in lounge area , the other in the bedroom.
Masterm bedroom consists of vanity with fully enclosed glass shower stall and toilet moving into an adjacent long vanity with 3 angled mirrors facing a jet powered jacuzzi style tub, with an open view of the bed and balcony.
The adjoing room sits beside the kitchen counter and dining room table which also includes anpther full size couch a bistro style table and 2 chairs and a king size bed with a wet bar with mini fridge, sink and microwave, closet, and bathroom with his/her vanity , toilet and tub.
The bathrooms are the least attractive in the overall feel. They are simply designed, modest, yet comfortable.
This is not the place to go to if you're a Facebook junkie trying to impress your friends with the best views and chic, trendy, high style ambience. It is however, located in a great spot, CVS, right under your feet, Subway, Starbucks coffee served in the main hotel shop, game room for kids, a pleasant pool, heated, a hot tub, a pool side bar and snack/restaurant for drinks and burgers, etc.
The hotel, rests on top of a mini mall dual levell promenade plaza, again a little dated, but functional, with shop for Crocs, surf gear, Hooters, Sonic Restaurant, gift Kiosks with various vendors, sarongs, hats, glasses, necklaces, etc.. There is an area to sit and relax and people watch, while reading a paer, or having an ice cream at Haagen Daaz. A jump across the street and you are at the beach. Just note, beach chairs are not offere by hotel, and there are private vendors or rentals for 19 bucks whenever they are out there, sometimes they are locked up, with hundreds of people on the beach which made no sense to me. The water is nice, and the weather was 81 degrees after 11 AM
Surprisngly busy and not deseted as I imagined it to be. It was kind of nice to see enough people on the beach without having to look for a spot.
Airport is conveniently 10-15 minutes, depending on if the drawbridge goes up for a passing ship or boat. Easy drive.
Parking is the only hangup, it takes about 5 minutes or more to reach P4 if you're a resident of the hotel. You go around in a large oval pattern through each floor to get to the Marriott level.
Nightime strolls include a handful of beachside choice bar and grills, a pizza place about 2 blocks away, and other hotels including Marina at backside of hotel off Las Olas blvd.
Overall grade a 7 based on the need for some serious modernizing and refreshing of the hotel overall, otherwise this place would be an 8 to 8.5.

Room Tip: We stayed on 4 facing beach closest to the Ritz don't know about the rest of the floors but the view was fair I think a few floors higher would have been nicer. You have the rooftop where the pool is right in your face as opposed to a more unobstructed view if you are higher.

first of all got a ocean front room on 17th floor corner room so the views were amazing but a bit windy,at night when u left the balcony door open u could hear the crashing waves. We had a one bedroom villa and as a vacation rental we did not have a celaning service. The kitchen was okay and i know its been updated so hopefully no ants.since I spotted a few nasty ones.Grat place to stay... the beach is just across the street , The elevators are a bit slow and u need your room key but its very safe and started noticing that many mariotts do it for safety which i think its great. When you take a taxi from FLL you make sure you point out the beach place and towers cause i said mariott and he took us todifferent mariott in different part of the town.;)Parking prices are quite steep but worth. Great hotel;)

Room Tip: high floor ocean view but if you want piece and quiet better go with the cityline and boat marina

My review may come a bit late as I've somehow overlooked it. We were a group of friends, 6 adults and 2 kids and we stayed at a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment itself was spacious with its own kitchen complete with utensils, an 8-seat dining table, 2 spacious bathrooms. I really was like staying in your own apartment. The views from our apartment were simply awesome. Check-in was really swift. I can't really comment about the service since we hardly required any. Everything we needed as just provided. I can't really complain much about the location as it's just across the street from the beach. There are likewise bars and restaurants nearby. The elevators seemed to working quite well at that time. We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott.

We had some Marriott points that were about to expire, so we took a ride down to Ft. Lauderdale for six days. Having read the reviews here ahead of time, we were not expecting too much, but were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the parking situation is not ideal, and that's my reason for taking one point off. You need to go around to the side, drive up four levels and go through two gates, park, and take an elevator just to get to the lobby. It's a bit confusing the first time. However, the signage is reasonably clear, and it was not a huge problem. One tip: If you are staying four days or more you can save on the $14 daily fee by buying a weekly pass for $50. You can't park in Marriott's private section, but it's still just as easy to access the hotel.

Unlike a previous reviewer, we found the staff to be very friendly and eager to help. For example, we came down to ask about the water taxi, and were immediately given a printed schedule and two discount coupons. (Incidentally, the water taxi is a fun thing to do and a good way to see the area, and it stops one block away.)

We were warned ahead of time that the elevators were being worked on and that there might be some long waits. However, it turned out that we had no problems with that either.

We stayed in a studio villa, which had a comfortable king sized bed, convertible couch, a small refrigerator, microwave and basic kitchen utensils. The size was fine for the two of us. There was also a small balcony. We didn't use the pool because, unfortunately, the weather was cool much of the time, and we live in Florida anyway. However, the deck was spacious and there were plenty of chairs. The beach is right across the street.

All in all we had quite a nice time and would stay there again if the occasion arose.

Room Tip: In my opinion, the intracoastal view is better than the ocean. At night looking out at the ocean, you see nothing, but with the intracoastal, you see the lights of the city.
