“The most unhelpful staff ever!”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

I made the mistake of buying a time share apartment here. The apartments themselves are nice but don't expect a single ounce of assistance from the staff, they are the most unhelpful I have ever come across. If I didn't know better, I'd swear that they were trained on how to be as unhelpful as possible!!

We just got back from a week staying at the BeachPlace in Fort Lauderdale. We had an AMAZING time as it was a family vacation..children, spouses and grandchild, If you are looking for a quiet vacation resort, this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for beautiful vacation accomadations, a first rate hotel staff, a georgous beach and a hotel amid amazing restaurants and nightlife, this is the place for you.
The pool area is (on the approx 5.'th floor) overlooking the ocean and has ample area to swin/sunbath. Good food and a variety of drinks are available. There are also 2 hot tubs. As mentioned, the staffwere extremely helpful and courteous.
I cant wait for the next visit!!!

Room Tip: High Floor/Ocean view

Marriott gave us two nights of our choice of places to stay for free and we choose this place. There is so much to do around this resort if you like walking short distances. We found only one draw back and that is the terrible parking garage and how it is handled. As you have read with others and we knew in advance was the $14 per day. As you wind up 4 or 5 levels to park you see all the columns are scraped and black from accidents. People drive in this place like crazy so be aware. The rooms were large and the deck was very large. The washer and dryer were a big plus and the kitchen was also great. The bed was very comfortable and the living room furniture was new and nice to sit in. Large selection of Direct TV channels. We would stay here again but with a smaller car!!

Room Tip: We wanted a immediate check in {noon} so we picked a waterway view. Great view and nicer than the oc...

Your first thought will be, "What a great location!" Your second, third, and forth thoughts will be, "How the hell do i check in or park?" You'll have to wonder through 4 levels of a $14/ day parking garage, take 2 parking tickets at 2 gates, find someone else whose already checked in to let you in the card entry elevator and then figure out that when the elevator says "parking level 5" it is actually the lobby before you find your first live person. If you try to explore the area, you'll learn that some exits are one way with no reentry for the elevators to get back to your room. The elevators dont change the name to the right floor until the doors are closing which is too late. Instead get out when it says the floor before yours (p5 =lobby, fl1 = fl2 etc...)

I asked the front desk for help in the laundry room and 1 hour later no one had come. The only people happy to see you are the vacation club people who try to sell you more timeshares and invite you to meetings. Every few hours they leave you a message on your room phone with weather or activities so you have to keep checking messages.

The area is beautiful with nice views in every direction. Rooms are clean. :Local food is good. Just expect to be lost the first day without much help from hotel staff.

Hotel was nice but not luxurious. Great for families, easy access to restaurants and bars in walking distance. Across the street from the beach. This place is ideal for active people who like to exercise and have beach front access. hotel has a Nice workout facility. Elevators are slow but not too bad. This place is a timeshare. If you want a restaurant or bar within the hotel, this is not the place for you. You will need to go to the restaurants outside of the hotel which are not under Marriott's rule. Stayed in a studio unit. Room is like a hotel room with a mini area with a fridge and microwave oven which is all you need if you don't really cook. Enjoyed my stay here. Easy access to everything..

Room Tip: If you booked your trip through interval international, you will need to work with them to upgrade y...

Four of us went for a girfriends weekend and had a fantastic time! The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotel was beautiful and clean. We rented a one bedroom unit with a kitchen which was quite nice. It had a huge master bedroom with a large tub and vanity and king size bed. The bed was a little uncomfortable. The bathroom had a large shower, just off of the bedroom with two entrances. The living room sofa was a pull out bed which was comfortable. Plenty of mirrors, a big plus since there were 4 ladies!
Visit "Uncle Bob" out at the pool bar. He gave us suggestions on must sees in Ft. Lauderdale and was so nice! The chicken and pineapple quesadilla's are a must! Delicious!
The pool area was very clean. Many chaise lounges, two hot tubs, live music Friday PM, and a splash area for kids! One downside is that the sun was gone from the pool are around 2:00 due to a nearby building blocking it. So, we could move down to the beach and soak up some more rays there! They even lent us chairs for the beach!
The location was fantastic! About a 15 minute ride from the airport. Situated between the beach and the Beautiful Intercoastal Waterway . The hotel was situated in a three level open air complex with restaurants, bars, shops..anything you need and within walking distance of many more restaurants, bars, and shops! Nice area! We loved it!!
