My ideas of vacations is to have others doing what I do everyday, not in here!
Any service in addition to your boarding must be paid for.
They do not offer housekeping ( not even for trash/garbage), not towel/linen changes, although they will bring you fresh ones if you request. Not sure if they will provide additional soap ( we had our own) . They offer 2 packs of coffee " started packs" more available for purchase".
they rent out chairs and umbrellas for the beach ( but you have to take them yourself) some of them in poor condition. The charge is not much , but people tend to buy them at the CVS and tends to be cheaper.
there are no really activities for the younger ones, but they have an activity center that at times offers some programs for the kids.
their pool is very small , and all it takes is a few rowdy kids to take it over.
Not sure if they have 1 BR rooms, I had a studio with a sofa bed( uncomfortable to sit on it!)
the samll kitchen had an small bar size fridge, with no ice trays( The only ice machine is on the lobby floor!). It has a microwave and a toaster ( a toaster oven would have been better).
The bed is comfortable, but the sheets are too small , so they keep coming off the mattress!
If you stay on the ocean view, you might hear some noise until 2 am since the Beach place crowd ( people drinking alot) are loud with some guys singing ( if it could be called that). This should not be a problem on the higher floors.
The elevetors: It is a big issue, and the wors is that they are erratic!. On my floor they would not stop going down, so we learned to take them going up and take the ride down. I understand there is a nice room on fl 19, but to get the elevator to go there at times takes 15-20 minutes.

Room Tip: even side rooms face the bay ( nice view at night with all the lights in the horizon) odd numbers face the ocean ( nice view during the day, nothing at night)

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at Marriott's BeachPlace Towers. As this a vacation ownership resort, we feature two-bedroom villas. The second bedroom can be locked off from the 2-bedroom unit and is more typical of a standard hotel room. Houskeeping services can be purchased for an additional daily fee. If you would to speak to someone about your experienc, please contact us us via email at Customer.Care@vacationclub.com or at 800-860-9384.

Hello,

We found the employees to be wonderful. Everyone we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

The design and size of the room was very good. It was not clean. Ceiling was covered with dust. Our son complained about sneezing while in the room.

Dark hair in bathroom and shower. None of us have dark hair.

The elevators were not working properly. There were long waits. Alternate choice was use the stairs. This was ok except the stairwell was dirty and smelly. A four or five floor walk in a smelly stairwell that is not air conditioned in Florida in July is not pleasant.

The cost for our room was comparable to other hotels in the area including Ritz Carlton.

Just came back from Ft. Lauderdale and all was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. There is plenty to do in Ft. Lauderdale we had a evening adventure on Las Olas. Lots of fun!! I will go back. I have found some timeshare units for sale in this resort for around 8k on the resale market at www.discounttimesharesales.com. Have fun and travel well.

I have read a couple of reviews about this place and I was a little concerned. However there was nothing that really all that bad. The elevators are a problem that needs to be figured out by Marriott and the management there. The parking is $14 a day. I think if your an owner of a Marriott timeshare that fee should be done away with we pay high enough maintenance fees as is. My wife was really annoyed w/ the fact that there was no beach chairs on the beach,You must rent them from Marriott at the pool and carry them to the beach. They must make a killing on those chairs. They look like they were left by others who refused to pay a daily fee. Enough of the negatives. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The location is THE BEST on the beach. Everything is within walking distance. I would definitely go back again!!

We first stayed here in 2011, while on a work-cation. We loved it so much we decided to return int 2012 for a full va-cation. Sure, the elevators were a hassle, especially during peak ride time (check in time on a weekend), but we were on the 8th floor and didn't mind taking the stairs down sometimes. Although the stairwell is rather unpleasant (smelly), it was better than waiting around for 15 minutes to catch an elevator.

We didn't have trouble finding the entrance, but perhaps that's because I had been reading reviews and knew about the secret side entry.

The location, the attractive and spacious rooms, the excellent kitchen space, the attentive staff (we called because our remote control had no batteries and it was quickly remedied), the play area for the kids, all contribute to make our stay exciting and enjoyable.
