Hate to say it, but Marriott, but get a life! Are you kidding? The Marriott Beachplace Towers is T-I-R-E-D! We own two timeshares in Palm Desert, and traded one for a week here. Big mistake. Only 3 out-of-four elevators available for a year, because of refurbishment (one at a time rotated out of service) are slow as molasses and crowded. Our apartment was threadbare and the kitchen equipped for four, although rated for occupancy of eight. The concierge staff was disinterested at best. We tried to avoid the elevators by using the staircase only once, and were repelled by the stench and the unlocked door at the bottom, which would allow entrance by anyone. The parking ramp was cramped, and one has to wend one's way up four floors to get to the level where parking is provided for $14/night. The public parking on the first three levels can be had for $50/week plus $10 administration fee. That's less. On weekends, the parking ramp is so crowded that you could spend 20+ minutes trying to exit.
Is there any good news? We recommend staying on the inland side; one gets to enjoy the view of the inland waterway, and the canals with large houses, complete with large yachts tied alongside.
