We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and loved all of the tropical foliage and the three pools. The room was tastefully decorated and suited our needs perfectly, and the bed was comfortable! We had a third floor room by the sundeck, which made us feel as though our very own private patio each morning. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I noticed the clientele was diverse with a number of guests from overseas. The guests were very friendly even though we were on a couples holiday and kept mostly to ourselves. We appreciated the laid back atmosphere of the resort, especially after staying at a more "touristy" hotel before coming here. The next time we end up in Fort Lauderdale we definitely plan on staying again.

A couple of tips:

We preferred to eat and drink over in Wilton Manors, where the food and drink were 1/3 the price on the strip - and actually made with love instead of just bored locals trying to milk the last dollars out of your pocket. The strip really doesn't have any interesting bars or restaurants (maybe excepting Casablanca) unless the Big Kahuna and the Jersey Shore types that hang there are your scene. Head over to Wilton Manors for nightlife. The only downside is that Wilton Manors is a 10 minute drive from the strip. The resort is two blocks from the beach at Terra Mar, which was perfect for an early morning dip. Walk the 10 minutes down to Sebastian Street beach if you don't want to share the beach with gawking Ma and Pa Kettle types from New Jersey and Texas.

Very friendly staff, clean up dated rooms, great continental breakfast, laid back atmosphere. You can be by yourself or part of the crowd your choice. Short walking distance to the beautiful beach and great restaurant choices for breakfast ,lunch or sunset dinners.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the second floor with a view of the pool and hot tub which is most rooms but less n...

Come alone or with a friend, this is the friendliest property, the perfect place to relax by the pool and jacuzzi. The staff is incredibly nice, always hot coffee in the lobby. Went alone, everyone was so friendly, I wound up with a Ketel One and cranberry just sitting in the jacuzzi. On Saturday, free open bar with Strawberry Daiquiris.

Room Tip: 2nd floor of the Worthington provides a great view of the pool and jacuzzi.

The Worthington Guest House and its sister resorts - Alcazar and Villa Venice, combine to create a welcoming, relaxing and FUN resort experience. This was our second stay (our first was in 2011) and we were thrilled to see many of the same faces, both staff and guests - who welcomed us back with such familiarity it was impossible to feel anything but instantly comfortable. Meticulously clean and well maintained, with three pools, two hot tubs, lush gardens, and pathways, it's easy to settle in and leave it all behind. Saturday happy hour is not to be missed and is a great way to meet and socialize with other guests. A short two block walk gets you to Ft Lauderdale's sprawling beaches, and access to a multitude of restaurant options. It's a quick 10 minute drive to Wilton Manors and the many bars, clubs and restaurants it offers. We will be back for sure! Thanks much to the Worthington staff for making our 9-day stay such a great experience!

I've been meaning to stay at The Worthington for years, it having come recommended to me by a number of friends, so I finally decided to add a couple of days onto a trip to South Florida to look into it. I'm so glad I did. From the moment I got there I felt welcomed. After being shown my room, I got a brief tour of all three properties (Alcazar and Villa Venice). I dropped my bags, grabbed a towel and, within ten minutes of checking in, was chatting with the other guests by the pool. Everyone was very friendly and I came away knowing some great guys. The other guests were a mix of ages (from early 30's to late 50's), and I found them very open and friendly. The hotel and pool area was clean and has a kind of Key West vibe with lush tropical foliage around the pool. I am already planning a return trip!

I will first and foremost commend the cleanliness of the rooms and grounds. A spotless gym and laundry facility! Our room was impeccably clean, under the bed, baseboard corners and edges, A/C unit, bathroom, ceiling fan, dresser drawers, etc. ( and I am OCD when it comes to clean). The pools and hot tubs are clean and very well maintained..
The staff is super friendly and helpful ( and cute).
It is 2 short blocks from Fort Lauderdale beach, and a short drive up Sunrise Blvd to The Galleria Mall ( Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Ambercrombie&Fitch, PacSun, etc.). And a $13 taxi (for 2 passengers) ride from the gay bars in Wilton Manors :) .
The other guests are mixed crowd, but all friendly, just as you would expect to find at any resort hotel. Not a playful crowd during our visit.:(
The wifi connection was good, no problems.
Overall , a very nice place and highly recommended !!
