“Review of Worthington Resorts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

This is my 6th stay here over the past 2.5 years and recommend this resort over others in the area (I tried a few others). Villa Venice and Worthington would be their premium offerings; however, if you are on a budget try the Alcazar side as they are lower in price but very spacious. I suggest looking on their website for specials (like stay 2 nights get third night free). Also ask for discount if you are a repeat customer.

If you are looking for a social atmosphere where you can meet other people for flings this would be the place. It's all in the math - you have over 60 rooms and over 100 people its going to be easy to meet others. You may find you won't need that Grindr ap. Happy hour on Saturday afternoon is another meet and greet opportunity with a DJ, free boos and a spread of munchies. I encounter very little if no attitude from other guests. It's not uppity here and other guests will socialize with you regardless of age or shape. With 3 pools, 2 hot tubs and 3 private deck areas you can also find privacy if that's what you prefer.

The staff here are very friendly and make you feel like family. Jay who maintains the landscaping looks like he's straight out of a Norman Rockwell Americana painting LOL. Jim the owner clearly takes an interest in the property with a hands on approach. The housekeeping staff are very easy on the eyes!! Maintenance staff are always sprucing things up.

Additional amenities worth mentioning are complimentary beach umbrellas, beach chairs, sunscreen, sun lotion, flip flops, continental breakfast, use of BBQ, free parking, anytime tea/coffee, flat screen TVs, iPhone docking station (Villa Venice), WiFi that is easy to connect to and fast.

This place does not lure customers with obviously fake reviews, rather thru offering a great product at a value, treating customers well enough that they earn repeat business and recommendations.

Having the 3 hotels connected with use of 3 pools and 2 hot-tubs was great. The landscaping was lush and everyone was very friendly. The Staff was exceptional, and it was a nice relaxing get away. I can't wait to go back again!

I just finished another great vacation at the Worthington/Alcazar. Every year it gets better. The landscaping is lusher, the pool-area becomes more comfortable, Happy Hours improve.

What doesn't change is the staff: friendly, helpful, flirtatious. Rooms and the outside areas are clean and crisp. Beds are very comfortable. Air-conditioning is new and pretty quiet. Hurricane-resistant windows keep out noise.

The resort now boasts 3 pools and 2 hot tubs (both of which live up to the Worthington's "frisky" reputation). It attracts a very good mix of guys -- ages 30 and above (60-year-olds will feel very welcome and comfortable) -- and all sizes and shapes. There is no attitude -- not from guests, not from staff. And the location, 1 block from the ocean and a 15-minute drive to Wilton Manors, remains a winner. I really hate to leave the Worthington and look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Room Tip: The Studios and Suites offer microwaves, refrigerators and dining tables -- all great for a stay las...

Nicely maintained property with a lush and tropical feel. It's very clean and the staff are quite good. My biggest suggestion would be to upgrade the prepackaged, overly sugared and processed breakfast food a bit (thank God for hardboiled eggs). Isn't there somewhere close with fresh bakery items and/or fresh fruit they could order? I'd pay a bit more--I ended going out for breakfast for some real food several times during the stay anyway.

They have combined three separate resorts with beautiful tropical walkways between them. You have a choice of three different styles for rooms, pools and hot tubs. The staff is very helpful. On Saturday night they had an open bar happy hour with a live DJ which was a lot of fun, good drinks and great music. You can walk two blocks to the beach and about five blocks to a shopping center. You can also walk to many restaurants close by. Two that I enjoyed close by were Casablanca Cafe and Coconuts Cafe. Casablanca Cafe is across the street from the beach and Coconuts Cafe is on the intercoastal with yacts docked right next to it. Both have very good food and service. The Worthington is also all male clothing optional with a good mix of age groups. I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Room 126 on The Worthington side you can see pool and hot tub from window. Not good if you want to s...

As Bette Davis said in some god dam warner brothers epic "wot a dump"
Wifi only at the pool, not in ur room.
Placed some empty cola cans near the pool on sunday still there thurs.
Lots of staff rushing here and there not doing much of anything other than being over familiar with the older cliantel. Pool not cleaned my entire hotel stay sun- thurs in early march.
This is not a resort.
