Very good price and location. Room was OK, nothing great but met all needs. Ocean view balcony in the tower. Even on a high floor road noise was a bit of an issue. Elevators are slow. very nice beach. Easy parking.

A quieter spot just south of the "main strip" -- you can walk to everything -- beach, restaurants, shops. bars, sailing, river cruises, water taxi, etc. We had no car and it worked out perfectly! The hotel room was spacious and met all our needs -- two double beds, free wifi, flat screen tv, fridge, micro, coffee maker, dining area, awesome "partial view" of marina and ocean, Juliet balcony.. Great pool area with lunch/bar and comfy lounge chairs. Pool towels are plentiful and can be signed out for beach/boating use. Bridge to beach is safe, convenient route for kids. All About Food store is super convenient for snacks, drinks, ice cream, sandwiches, breakfast, etc.

Room Tip: "partial ocean/marina view"

Our stay at this hotel was very nice. This hotel has an overpass directly from the hotel room to the beach and that connects back to the Pool. Rooms were very neat and modern. Can't ask for anything more!!

I read some poor reviews about staying at the marina. And we stayed there anyway. It was fine. The room was clean and everything worked. I know that they made special arrangements for us, as we had one room with a King and a room with 2 double beds. (This is not a normal set up for the rooms). The rooms adjoined, so this was great for traveling with teens who want some space (and to watch their own TV!). The walkway to the beach is a great thing. Also easy to get across the street. Their onsite "All About Food" deli became our favorite spot to eat. Their tuna salad is excellent and they have so many hot food choices for a very reasonable price and it can be conveniently billed to the room. Beach is lovely.

Room Tip: The marina rooms are just fine. no noise. clean

We had the ocean view room and the view was beautiful and the room was extremely spacious. I wouldn't call this a resort since they don't offer many amenities, they don't even offer room service. I do feel it was a good deal for the money. The bridge to take over to beach made it easy to get to the beach with a toddler and a stroller. I would recommend this place for location and decent hotel, don't stay here if you're looking for something fancy.

Room Tip: Pay the extra and get the ocean view room, you can hear the waves if you leave the window open.

Just got back from a brief stay at Bahia Mar and we had a wonderful time...We booked an oceanview king in the main tower and was pleasantly surprised...No - it's not a Four Seasons or a mainstream Hilton but for $140 per night, this was a great deal...The beach was a nice 1 min stroll over the bridge and the pool area wasn't busy over our 3 day stay...we had no problem getting a chair even at 10:30 in the morning....I also didn't experience any elevator issues...many times, it was either right there or we had to wait no more than 15 seconds...$21 for parking was a tad steep and the gym was just OK...extremely hot with little air circulation...my only other complaint was that Breezes closed early on two of the nights...we wanted a late night snack on both nights and it was closed by 10:10 (was suppose to close at 11)...we ended up walking up the street and found a lovely place where they served nice wings and shrimp....Location was ideal as it was close to Las Olas and within a 2 min walk to the water taxi....we spoke to other people and they hated their room, which was located in the older part...pay the extra $$$ and live in the Tower and you wont be disappointed - so long as your expectations are in the right place.

Room Tip: Pay the extra coin and live in the Tower...
