My grandmother and I decided to go to Florida, on a last minute spring break vacation. We both have never been to Florida and we were trying to decide where to stay along with hotels. The first night we stayed at the Hyatt pier 66 which when the shuttle takes you to the beach it actually drops you off at the Bahia Mar (which coincidence, that's where we booked our hotel for the rest of our stay) so that was a plus! It helped so we didn't have to be over priced for a taxi cab. Granted I wish they did have free shuttles going back and fourth to the airport because that would have been great, along with free wifi. They do give you a complimentary one day, but I think they should have had free wifi for guests in the room. If you were down in the lobby I guess it was free. The workers in the Breeze (I believe was the name) restaurant were amazing people! Along with the people who helped with luggage, and our housekeepers! Very good staff that attends to all your needs when you ask. I was down in that restaurant almost everyday getting a coke to drink and they usually just let it slide and just gave it to me since I was down there SO many times, which was very considerate. The room was great, I don't know what other people are talking about it being outdated or old. I loved the beds they were very comfy along with the view. I was a little nervous because I really wanted all ocean view, but we booked it for partial. When we arrived at our hotel it was a FANTASTIC view of the ocean PLUS the marina. Great view and you also got to see all the boats that I personally couldn't afford haha! The walkway is a little ways especially with my grandmas knee, but it was still a pleasant place to be. The walk up to Las Olas with a bunch of stores wasn't to far away and nice to be further down away from the spring breakers. A lot of people were complaining because of spring breakers, but really?! COME ON!! Its spring break? There is going to be a bunch of drunk college students. That wouldn't have bothered me anyways because I am a college student myself and if I came down with a bunch of friends I would have been drunk too. Great place to stay and I will be back!
