We stayed 1 night , 4th floor, room was spacious. Really liked the mini-kitchenette, and pull out sofa, not one but 2 pools, private beach.. Lots of activities for kids, teenagers.. Chess next to pool. Tiki bar and food., swings , half -size basketball court and playground slides for smaller children. Breakfast in restaurant or prepaid with hotel reservations.

We spent three nights here prior to leaving for a cruise, and for the most part we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel interior and external grounds are very clean and well-maintained, and our room was also cleaned well by housekeeping staff. I only encountered one hotel employee that was not friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were without issue. When we arrived, it was almost 10 pm, and they were kind enough to make sure we could get a meal at their dining room, the Acquario, which was set to close at 10. The food was exceptional and it was really needed after a long day of travel.

Regarding other dining at the hotel, we loved the Palm Garden Dining Room for the breakfast buffet, which was an excellent deal at $18 for a huge selection of fresh food, including omelets, pancakes, and French toast made to order. Absolutely wonderful service and it's exceptionally clean, and the view is great. The Promenade Bar for lunch a few times was a nice way to get a drink and small appetizer, as prices can be a little steep. But the food was always excellent. The Ocean Grill, on the other hand, was just very average grill food like hot dogs, and I was not very impressed. The Soda Shop is another option, but the portion sizes are very small and the prices of the pantry are outrageous. $6 for a 3.5 oz bag of pretzels is just one example of this gouging.

The hotel grounds were always clean all three days we stayed, and it's a nice layout with two pools, a tennis court, mini golf, a few hammocks, and a small playground for kids. Lots of space at the pools most of the time, but the lounge chairs were rather uncomfortable. On the private beach there are free chairs, which were always in great supply, and you can rent a lounge chair and umbrella, if you so choose.

Overall, we enjoyed out short stay, and it was peaceful every day except for the last day. There were entirely too many small kids running around with little or no supervision, which was quite alarming compared to the relatively quiet days and evenings the first two days. Regarding the activities available for kids, I highly recommend you rent a car or find other transportation if staying more than a few days, as my teenager was quite bored by the end of the second day. Also, you will save a ton of money if you load up on snacks and drinks from a CVS or supermarket, as the Soda Shop prices are ridiculous. And the Soda Shop was not always efficient with its service for even a coffee, and unfortunately the free coffee service by the bar ends at 8 am.

Another negative is that the laundry room has no A/C and it was entirely too small. And although the hotel is clean and pretty, it really makes you feel like you're back in the 70's and 80's with some of the furniture and decor. It really could use some updating and modernization. The open sitting area by the indoor bar is a mismatch of furniture from different time periods and it just doesn’t have that inviting feeling. Our room needed a little updating, too. It was clean and functional, but things are just worn and old. WiFi throughout the hotel was great, though, so at least that modern amenity was acceptable.

I would love to give this hotel 5 stars but it just needs to improve a few things: some room and hotel updates, better food options and prices at the Promenade and Soda Shop, adequate laundry facilities, and free coffee available throughout the entire day and not just for a couple hours in the morning.

Wonderful hotel. Lovely large rooms (and we had the small ones). Nice view. Lovely staff, except the grumpy man in the reception. Lovely breakfastbuffet, with an omelettbar. Wonderful food in the restaurant at night. A bit overpriced Spatreatments, nice enough treatments, but have had better elsewhere. Very nice poolarea, and a lovely beach. Would absolutely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Great stretch of beach, nice grounds, good food, very clean, and friendly staff. The only reason I did not give the hotel 5 stars is that the decor in the restaurant and the rooms are very outdated. They could also use a better sign for the front entrance, as our Uber drivers had a hard time finding the place.

We booked our stay online through Expedia prior to leaving for our cruise. Once we entered the resort we were greeted by an attentive staff and were ushered right to the front desk. Terry checked us in and upgraded us to a suite. My kids were beyond thrilled. We enjoyed an amazing afternoon at the beach. The water was calm and warm. We all enjoyed a quick round of mini golf and some
swinging in the hammocks. After ordering room service for dinner which was speedy and delish our boys spent some time in the pool. Breakfast the next morning was great. Thank you for a wonderful start to our week long vacation.
