I was excited to stay at this hotel due to all the good reviews and had high expectations. I wasn't disappointed. From the check in to the check out everything was wonderful. The beach is close to the hotel is beautiful, the view was amazing! The food was very pricey, but good. The room was very clean and spacious. Service Wonderful thanks to Eddie he made it happen.

I, would like to thank first and formost Claudette whom my first contact was with over the reservation line and thanks to her kindness and professionalism whom I felt so comfortable with AT that moment I booked a room for my short stay in Fort Lauderdale!Upon my arrival I was met by Claudette whom made me feel like family and thanks to her my stay there was amazing ...
Sadly I was there for a sad occasion and needed a comfortable place to stay to reco-operate AND I found *IT* with International Palms Hotel ....
Everyone after Claudette we re kind as well....
The location was perfect for me ....and not far from anything...

I loved the palm trees, the pool was great ........
AND THE ROOM WAS ABSOLUTLY PERFECT ........
The room is newly renovated and mine particularly quiet facing the pool area....

Thank You to Claudette first & formost and then to the Owner of the Hotel who hires amazing people like Claudette and keeps his establishment perfect & comfortable for us to stay at .....away from home!

I highly recommend Universal Palms Hotel.....Florida!

Room Tip: Facing the Pool overlooking the fountains ......& the Palm trees ....

My husband and I were there to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary. This place was everything I hoped it would be. It is a very well maintained property, great landscaping, great rooms, etc... The room was very clean and nicely decorated with a great pool view, on the 5th floor. Just a few amenities in the room. The Hotel has beautiful decor inside and out but what really stands out at this place is the SERVICES! We never came across any employee that was not smiling and most were always sure to address you by name. They also make sure that everything about your stay is going exactly as you wish. If you have any questions or need directions or a reservation made or the house car, etc... their answer is always "Absolutely.." and whatever you were wanting is done ASAP. "Absolutely" kind of became the word of our stay because anything we asked or needed that was always the answer. A few people I feel compelled to point out because of how exceptional they are Eddie Vega. All of the staff were very friendly. We had breakfast at Venecia Restaurant which was ok as well as lunch. We loved our stay here! My answer to the question of "Would you stay here again?" is ABSOLUTELY! Hopefully very soon!

Room Tip: Get the rooms facing the pool area the BEST !!

I was so not impressed by this hotel. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years so I know exactly what to look for. As I entered the hotel, the front desk staff never greeted or made eye contact with me. I was kind of lost looking for a seminar I had to attend and there was no one to show me the way.
Every time I had a question about restaurants, internet access or simply hotel questions the front desk girls had no clue. That to me is so unprofessional. They could of ask someone who know but that would be too much of common courtesy.
I checked in to the room in the evening. As I entered the room the smell of rotten beans hit my nose immediately. I higher the Ac cause I thought maybe the room was just stuffy. I checked the beds, the pillows, the towels and they smelled awful. It was so gross. I mean they need to use professional detergent for the laundry. God knows what happens on those beds.
I couldn't stay because 1 it was nasty 2 I had an emergency at home. Those people did not sound too worried about my concerns and I am still waiting on a call to get my refund. Its been 1 week.

My wife and I chose this hotel because of the excellent price. We assumed that it was inexpensive because it's off the beat and path. When we arrived at the front desk, Eddie Vega was very accommodating and offered a free double upgrade. The room itself was well decorated and recently renovated. It was a great deal for what we paid. If you're staying for a night or two and need a decent place to lay your head, try Universal Palms Hotel.
