Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street
Ranked #38 of 128 Hotels in Fort Lauderdale

This was my first time in Fort Lauderdale and my second time at a Embassy Suite hotel. I love this hotel. It was a great hotel experience for me. The front desk staff was very eager to help, all of the staff was very cordially, too. Gave me several tips on how to travel solo in F.L. including the 50 cent shuttle ride to Las Olas beach!! The room was very roomy and clean. Love having a frig and a microwave in the room, too!! Also loved the free happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 PM every night!!! It was also a great price from Priceline that sealed the deal from the very beginning!!! I will stay here again if I return to Fort Lauderdale!!!

Room Tip: Stay near the middle, it is more quiet there!!

This is a typical ES property except that the parking and the internet access are both chargeable. Saw a good Hotwire rate and considered it a bargain although was a little hesitant considering a very poor review I had seen.
No problems though, everything was as it should have been and as we expected from many visits to ES properties elsewhere, An extra treat to enjoy the managers reception on the sunny patio,
Situated on a busy road so some traffic noise can be expected.

The stay was wonderful and one particular desk clerk went above and beyond any desk clerk i've ever encountered her name was Amanda. She was beyond helpful, informational, courteous and polite. She answered all of our questions and was very quick and efficient with our check in, She had great reccomendations for food and activities in the area. She gets two thumbs up and very happy guests who will be returning!

We stayed here - two rooms for one night - prior to a family cruise. As other reviewers have stated this hotel is looking a bit tired. When we arrived there were 3 people behind the front desk, two talking to each other, the third on the phone. When they spotted us the two clerks walked into the back room leaving us to stand by the clerk on the phone. After a few minutes she assisted us but wasn't overly friendly. We enjoyed the manager's reception and the breakfast in the morning. Parking is very expensive (17.95/night) but I guess that is common near the pier. The parking attendents were very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We understand that first impressions can be lasting impressions and we want to ensure your first greeting is always a pleasant one. It's certainly not typical nor tolerated to encounter such services and your comments will be addressed. We are glad to hear the parking attendants were accommodating and you enjoyed the complimentary Evening Reception. Come back and see us for a whole new welcome.

Please be assured that the entire team is going through additional service training this month and next month.

Again thank you for your comments and I look forward to seeing you on a repeat visit.

Sincerely;

on 4-1-13 we rented a suite for one night because i was refused cruise boarding and could not fly home till the following day. we had 5:15 am wakeup so we could have breakfast and get to th airport for our 8:10 am flight upon showering we discovered there wasn't any wash cloths in the room and a gator ade bottle on the floor between the bed and the night stand iam sure this is nt your regular service but this is what we endured we notified the desk and they apologized but for the amount we paid I normally do not spend that much for a hotel room it seems they could have offered some consideration

Thank you for alerting us to the missing towels and left-over Gatorade bottle. We have strict quality assurance practices and try not to miss anything when servicing guest rooms. Once reported to our front office team additional protocols were implemented to ensure we're more vigilant.

All team members are going through additional training on "How to make it Right" if there is a problem.

Please feel free to contact me so I can personally speak to you about your situation. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sinerely;

The location is ideal, the pool area is wonderful and the free breakfast and managers happy hour are really a nice touch, however it is getting a little used and abused at the Embassy. We have stayed here 3 years in a row now, but I am not sure we would go back.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same, but stay away from the ones overlooking the highway, it was a little noisy.
