The Pelican Grand was better than even expected. We had an ocean-front room that was clean, attractive and spacious. In fact, the entire resort was clean, attractive and spacious. The pool was open from early morning to late at night...and the staff was always right at hand to bring a drink or food. The lazy river offered lots of fun for kids. The building even had a little southern charm with it's wrap around veranda and rocking chairs to escape the sun if needed. Many amenities I didn't expect also like complimentary spa water stations and a wonderful snack shop, ice cream bar and restaurant. I loved every minute at Pelican Grand.

Room Tip: Get to the pool or the beach early in the morning to reserve your pool/beach chairs. The staff will set them up for you with lounge covers and towels. But, it's on a first come first served basis. If you leave for lunch or to go to the room, put your suntan lotion, flip flops, or hat on your chairs to let them know you will be returning. Otherwise, they will change out the covers and towels for someone else. We kept our chairs all day every day. Awesome.

My family and I came here for a short (but sweet) vacation. I would highly recommend this hotel to any and all Fort Lauderdale travelers. The staff was extremely friendly; they quickly set up chairs with two sets of towels both at the beach and pool. The lazy river was clean and completely relaxing. The suite-style room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. Our ocean front room could have not have been beat!

I planned a meeting for 35 colleagues in May and it was unanimously voted to return here for our next meeting. The staff was generous and more than accommodating. Angel, Enrique, Maya, Mellissa and Nathan were perfect hosts. As for Bill and Amanda in the sales office, there are a true dream team and made it happen. The food was wonderful and we've renamed their Mai Tai the "oh my my." My thanks and praise for everyone at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. We will be back.

Room Tip: Any room you get is going to be fine because you won't really be spending time in it! You'll be fine dining, sitting on a fabulous rocking chair on the veranda, or near water with an adult beverage either pool side or on a lounge chair on the beach. The photos of this hotel are accurate!

The location is beautiful but thats about it. The customer service I felt was terrible. The FRONT DESK "NEVER"answers the phone. Our tv in the room didnt work and it took 6 calls one time letting it ring for over 5 minutes. We needed extra towels and never got them cause we couldnt get thru. The housekeepers are so rude and never smile or say hello. The parking sucks cause most of the time they are slammed and you have to wait for your car just to go to anywhere. The restaurant on site was delicious so no complaints there, although pricey. Another thing is make sure you get to the beach early or there will be no umbrellas left. The pool was small and lazy river too dirty. What a let down overall!

What a wonderful hotel. The location, amenities and staff were all A+. Cant wait to go back. The pool and lazy river were great and the property right on the beach could not have been better. The staff was super friendly and very eager to assist their guests in anyway.

Room Tip: Stayed in a double queen room with ocean view on the 2nd floor. Lots of space and so comfortable.
