We were stuck in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale by a delayed flight just after Christmas and this was just about the only place that had rooms available for anything approaching a reasonable price. Mind you, we still forked out $200 for what amounted to a room from a timewarp going back to the 70s. The surrounding area was nice enough, but the hotel was quite terrible - old super-bouncy bed where your partner moves a finger and the whole bed shakes, decor that had been last updated 15 years ago, filthy bathroom. About the only redeeming features were that the staff were friendly enough, and the room was at least not tiny. But it was a right rip-off at $200.

Room Tip: Want a good room ? Don't stay here!

We stayed there for one night and that was enough. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms a joke. The toilet was right next to the wall, you couldnt even sit on it because your leg woudnt fit in between the wall and the toilet seat. So we had the sit side ways on it but still had to watch our head not bang againt the sink. It was ok for one night but its way too expances for what it is.

Last minute plans for NYE so we got stuck with this dive. The location to beach is great just about a half a block away. The room was awful and beyond DIRTY. Just obvious dirt everywhere, hair from past guest on towels just digusting. We checked in late and were not told that the credit card would not be processed at that time. The next day they locked our room and then called to say we did not pay when we were never told to return the next morning. We figured credit card is on file why would there be an issue, right? RUDE! Housekeeping is a joke if they even show up. We had to tell them we ran out of tissue in order to get someone in the room to atleast give us fresh towels. The room location was bad we could hear everything so rest was only a thought. I will never return just GROSS. It was expensive during the holiday.

Room Tip: Non exist in this dive

After we saw the interior of this property it was clear that the only guests here come because they receive some amazing discount or do not know the competetive alternatives. This property is old, broken down, dirty, rusty and has matresses that are so old they have sagged in on themselves. The shower stall had been painted over in an attempt to hide mould. The baseboards were rotten and crumbling. The bathroom fixtures were extremely old and operated badly. The bathroom was so small and dank it looked like something out of a one stall public subway. The management here is all international and distinctly unfriendly. Pricing simply does not reflect the truly poor condition of the property. The pictures they publish also do not show the decay that has all but consumed these rooms. Unless you receive some shocking discount, your family will not forgive you for booking this location.

After the 3rd night staying here and the office manager continuing to tell me they would again try and fix the WiFi they conceded it didn't reach my room!
Rooms were small and very tired, glad I had a busy schedule and was only there to sleep.

Room Tip: If WiFi is important make sure they put you in a room which has coverage, not all do!

Sandy Shores is quaint old style motel nestled between behemoth modern hotels what cost the sky. The motel is clean and the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. It is only 100 yards from the ocean and for the money they charge it is difficult to get a better place to stay. The only thing I had difficulty with was getting on the wifi each day. Even with that I would stay there again without question.

Room Tip: All the rooms are on the pool.
