“Nice water tour”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

My husband and I went on the 11:00 am Carrie B tour on Friday, January 25. You have to like this kind of thing or you will be disappointed. We love tours that show you homes, yachts, etc of the 'rich and famous'.
We thought the price ($24@) was OK for the length of the tour (1.5 hours) and the accommodations on the boat itself. Chairs are comfortable and there is a bar/food area downstairs if you want to use it. You can sit under cover or out in the sun, whichever you like.
The tour is interesting. You can tell it is pre-recorded but, hopefully, they change it if it needs to be changed.
They take your picture when you board and the pictures are available for $10 as you leave the boat but there is no pressure to purchase them.
This is a nice calm activity. The Carrie B also has tours at 1and 3pm but if you want a tour at 5pm there is a place further down the Riverwalk that offers them. The Riverwalk is nice to do after the boat ride.

Thank you for your kind review. However, since 1959, this business has never offered a prerecorded narrative for any cruise. We hope you will joinn us again.

“Amazing scenery, but take the water taxi”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

This is arguably the best activity in the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area. This is the perfect way to spend 90 minutes when the weather is nice. Eye-popping scenery includes yachts worth over $100 million and celebrity houses that cost a small mint. The question is "should I go on the Carrie B to do this activity?" Having done the water taxi on a previous tour, in my opinion that's the best way to see everything. It's less than half the cost of the Carrie B and you can stay on it longer and see more stuff.

“kinda Weird”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

My friend and I booked this trip not knowing what to expect (our error). It was well narrated but kind of strange riding up and down a waterway quaking at rich people's homes. I sort of understand the attempt to occasionally make the narrative historical. However overall I would not repeat this venture.

Dear Daisy (trichardson89),

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and support TripAdvisor. However, I have a hunch that you have written a mildly negative review about a business other than my own. I am assuming that when you mention "quaking at rich people's homes," you are referring to Duck Tours Fort Lauderdale. This is an entirely different entity than Carrie B Cruises, and we have zero affiliation. Their narrator encourages their passengers to "quack" at various sights throughout the tour. Our narrators always encourage crowd participation, fun, and engagement, but never call upon our guests to collectively make animal noises.

I thank you for visiting Fort Lauderdale and supporting our local businesses. Maybe you can join us on your next visit for a different kind of experience.

All the best,

Owner - Carrie-B Cruises

“New Year's Eve!”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

We had a great experience. Great music and dancing, champagne toast, and yummy appetizers. Enough food to make a meal. It was smooth sailing, the weather was terrific, and the beautiful houses were amazing! They even supplied New Year's hats, tiaras and noisemakers! Lots of fun!!
This was a 4 hour cruise, which I think is different than usual because it was New Year's Eve. There were both couples and families with kids on the boat. We're looking forward to going back for a "regular" cruise!
