My sister and granddaughter stayed here two nights prior to our Cruise. I honestly can say it was fabulous. The hotel, location, and staff is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and with a smile. Our room was large and beautiful, facing the oceanfront. The bathroom is beautifully appointed. We loved the pool overlooking the oceanfront, even the pool attendants were great. The food was delious and the lounge makes a great martini. My husband and I, with friends will be staying here for a pre-cruise stay in February and can hardly wait. Make sure you stay here. You will not regret it!!

I stayed at the Ritz Carlton almost a year ago for a one year anniversary and it was the most memorable experience I've ever had at a hotel. They sent chocolates up to our room for our anniversary and gave us a complimentary upgrade because our room wasn't ready at the time of check-in (which wasn't a problem at all, it was so beautiful outside we lounged by the pool while the staff watched our luggage). The second day there, we ate at the pool and the price of the food was much less than what we were expecting (the pizza was enough to feed two people); we didn't even care to go to the beach because the pool was so nice and all of the staff was very accommodating, catering to our every need. The 5 star rating Ritz Carlton has was most definitely displayed through their every action. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in Fort Lauderdale, this would be the hotel! We will definitely be returning for our next anniversary.

Chose this hotel after reading prior reviews. Arrived Thurs 6/17/10 and immediately felt the Ritz atmosphere. Check-in was quick, we mentioned we were there for our anniversary and we received a bottle of champagne on ice in our room that evening. Not frequent hotel (any) guests, with 3 little ones under 8, don't get away much. But this visit might have spoiled us and might make us consider paying a little more for Ritz quality.

Everything was top notch. Got bumped to a junior suite on check-in, which was the size of a small apartment. Bathroom was huge, big tub, separate shower, double sinks, tv in bathroom mirror between the sinks. TV in bedroom, king bed was very comfortable, and another TV in the sititng room. Only bummer was $12.99 for internet (for 24 hour period) seemed a bit odd.

Had breakfast package, so ate at hotel restaurant for breakfast each morning. Buffett on weekends. Very good. Had lunch at hotel pool (7th floor) one day, very good. Ate dinner at restaurants within walking distance along beach (average).

This stretch of Ft Lauderdale beach has a road between beach and hotels...but in front of Ritz, it is only a 1 way road, so traffic only coming 1 way, very easy to cross, and Ritz has a walkway from the pool deck over the street. Really enjoyed the lounge chairs, towels, and water the Ritz includes on the beach in front of the hotel.

Beach was very nice, water was warm and clean and clear.

Would definitely come back to this place.

I have stay in many 4 star hotels before but staying in this 5 star hotel has spoiled me for any future 4 star hotel stays. The grounds were well kept, the staff was very friendly, helpful and cordial.

We had an oceanfront room and the surprise was that it was a corner room (1 of 6 on premise, I believe) nicknamed the "party room". This is because we had about 20 feet of balcony facing the ocean right off the bedroom and another 40 feet of balcony facing the water canals (an "L" shaped balcony). This was a spectacular view to wake up to every morning and enjoy at night. Along with the great views the quality of the workmanship within the room along with the latest applicances made for a great stay.

The 7th Floor Pool, two jacuzzis and bar/cafe offered a wonderful view to the ocean as well. There was a Spa and Exercise Room that looked modern and stylish. The in house resturant had seating inside and outside facing the ocean and the indoor bar/lounge was a quiet place to just relax.

Also I love cars and to see some of the most exotic cars pull up to be valet was amazing. I saw a lime green lamborghini, several white Bentleys and a black Ferrari. I was unsure if these were guest or residences since this hotel is also a living quarters to those who are fortunate enough to live there.

This was the best hotel that I have ever stayed in and I would highly recommend to anyone that will be visiting the area.

There are many nice hotels on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, but only one Ritz Carlton! Stayed there with my husband for 4 nights. We read some reviews before making the reservation, but the minute we entered the Ritz, we knew that we made a perfect choice! The check-in was very quick, and although we arrived about 30 min. earlier, our room was ready. More over, we were upgraded to the full ocean view! The lobby and the room was beautiful and stylish, the bed was comfy, the bathroom is spacious, and we enjoyed the balcony with the ocean view. But what impressed us the most, is their service. The staff is very professional and friendly, they attend to all your needs, and go above and beyond to make your stay special. There are lots of sweet little touches: complimentary water, little chocolate in the room, fruits in the lobby.
The coffee shop in the lobby is very convenient, they have freshly baked goods, and their chocolate croissants are REALLY good! We even had light lunch there once (they have wraps, sandwiches, salads, and fruits). Everything is delicious! The food in the restaurant is also very good. We had such an amazing time and cannot wait to go back! Thank you, Ritz Carlton!

Gorgeous rooms, great location. We had a beautiful suite with a large balcony. Clean, spacious, and great for entertaining. We had friends over for drinks, and it was enjoyed by all. The hotel is across from the beach and near restaurants and bars. It's obviously a touristy area, but stil a lot of fun (I lived there for years, and still enjoyed being on Fort Lauderdale Beach).
The pool area is great, although it got a bit crowded. Food and drinks are way overpriced, even for Fort Lauderdale.
The concierge was lacking; not very friendly or helpful, but the waitstaff was very good.
Compared to some of the other hotels on Fort Lauderade Beach, the Ritz is definitely the best.

We were in Florida looking at condos, and the Ritz Carlton is right in the center of the beach area. We have stayed in several RC properties, and were not disappointed. I always look for value and I used AAA to get a basic room. We were upgraded to a beachfront/pool view on check in. Very modern hotel with that South Beach vibe in the rooms as well. Can not say enough, 600 sq. foot room with marble bath overlooking the beach, $219 a night-you could not go wrong. Too many places to eat, try Casablanca, 2 blocks north, and for drinks and pub food anywhere south on the beach, great happy hours with aquarium- sized Margueritas. The pool area was very large, with bar and outdoor restaurant, with a great pool. Foreign visitors with loud kids, and chain smoking ruined that perfect pool experience. Get there early, then head for the beach with loungers/umbrellas provided by RC. All in all a great location, and great value. They always get you with parking $30/day, though.
