Our friends who live in the area rave about this restaurant and took us there on a recent visit to Fort Lauderdale. The setting is lovely overlooking the water and our friends were greeted with enthusiastic warmth....they clearly eat there regularly. There is nothing pretentious about the décor and although the terrace is large, the inside of the restaurant is quite small. I suspect that most of the trade is done on the terrace in the year round lovely Florida weather.
The service was friendly although the waiter who served our red wine had a hard time getting it poured in the glass and not on the table. For starters I had the tonno tartar which was ok although I have had tastier tuna elsewhere. The let down was the main course of Pappardelle al Bolognese which was a bit of a let down. Not enough flavour to the Bolognese sauce and the whole dish was too large and a little on the cold side. I gave it my best shot but really it just didn't taste very nice.
I so wanted to like this restaurant as we stay nearby every year in Fort Lauderdale and our lovely friends were so thrilled to take us there but I just couldn't find anything special about it and cant see myself rushing back.
